Humanity has a clear version of evil and has failed to deal with it. Humanity is pathetic.

[–] Etterra@discuss.online 9 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Every time somebody tries the elite and media decry political violence. I hate to break it to them that the Revolutionary War was political violence.

[–] reksas@sopuli.xyz 3 points 1 day ago

when evil person crys how injust you are for opposing, the answer should be even more fierce opposing

[–] Bluedragon012@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Too bad they won in the end and got thier way because humanity has failed to stop them. Evil has won.

Canadian Geese are now known as Donald Ducks.

I want to know which time traveller got ahead of the curve and named British farts "Trumps"

[–] RonniePickering@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Gotta be a time traveler

The most implausible part of that is that the AI bubble will pop that soon.

[–] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 day ago

Nobody knows when a bubble will pop. It could be literally today.

[–] Nalivai@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago

The main portion of dot com bubble was about 5 years long, so it's actually pretty realistic estimations

Although, a recent How Money Works video makes a strong case that a 2026 AI collapse is at least on the BINGO card.

ETA: I think it's this one (on YouTube) but I'm not entirely sure. Otherwise, it's this one.

It's gonna start to get confusing pretty damn soon, calling everything America. Every body of water, and everything in our solar system.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 14 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

He's already said that he's thinking of renaming both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. That won't cause any problems at all. /S

So stupid. Obviously, the solution is to name one ocean after America, and the other one after Trump.

[–] SethTaylor@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

This Trump guy... always changing names, never pronouns. So boring

[–] CalypsoGirl@lemmy.today 2 points 1 day ago

As soon as he's dead, TPTB better switch everything back to the original names.

[–] conartistpanda@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

When everything is America, nothing will be.

[–] thagoat@lemmy.dbzer0.com 108 points 2 days ago (1 children)

This is pretty fucking believable.

[–] fake@sh.itjust.works 37 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Which means the reality of 2027 is going to be far stupider

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 13 points 1 day ago

2027-2028 are going be insane. Every MAGA knows that if the Dems take over the Legislature in 2026, then the Presidency AND extend their majority on Congress in 2028, then a LOT of MAGAs are going to prison, and some may even be executed.

So they will be desperate to make sure we are fully under MAGA control by 2028, and that will require massive violence. The good news is that we already know that MAGAs are virtuosically incompetent, so they will fuck it all up, and lose in the end, but the damage they will do along the way will be incalculable. That will give us the justification to treat MAGA as the Domestic Terrorist Organization, and an active, ongoing, enthusiastic National Security Threat that they clearly are, and prohibit them from existing, and purge them from our government and our society.

[–] rumba@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago

we're already at a good start

The ~~Solar~~ American System and its eight planets: Barron, Natalie, America, Melania, Trump™'s Big Beautiful Planet, Ivanka, Don Jr. And Eric.

[–] Gutek8134@lemmy.world 19 points 2 days ago (1 children)

IIRC most of the planets in the system were named after Roman gods, so it doesn't sound too far fetched

[–] RidderSport@feddit.org 11 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

All apart from Earth. Which is probably just because every language had a word for the planet they life on before Roman names were introduced for planets you can't see with the bare eye.

[–] alsimoneau@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn can be easily seen with the naked eye

[–] igmelonh@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Uranus is Greek; the Roman equivalent would be Caelus.

All part of the American Way Galaxy

Within the American Galaxy Cluster, inside the Americaverse

[–] SethTaylor@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Betcha Eric is Uranus

Meanwhile, The European Commission is trying to make Chat Control happen for the 67th time (it won't happen, and it's more of a tradition than anything at this point).

[–] testaccount789@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I just checked his Truth Social account to verify a different post, only to find he's working on renaming Lake Ontario to Lake America...

[–] bhamlin@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Too late, he thinks he has already done it

[–] jj4211@lemmy.world 2 points 12 hours ago

Google went with it too

[–] BigDanishGuy@sh.itjust.works 16 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Tbh this renaming everything to America or Trump thing will get confusing real soon. Gulf of America (classic), Gulf of America (new), and Gulf of America (new 2)? How about keeping Gulf of Mexico, Gulf of California, and Gulf of St Lawrence?

[–] mister_flibble@sh.itjust.works 17 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Diet Gulf of America, Gulf of America with lime, and new Gulf Zero

[–] jj4211@lemmy.world 1 points 12 hours ago

More like Gulf of America Baja Blast

[–] BigDanishGuy@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Temu Gulf of America... It's just a bay

[–] Zachariah@lemmy.world 41 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I’m not sure we’ll have to wait even that long

[–] Salvo@aussie.zone 12 points 2 days ago

Depends on how the midterms go…

[–] this@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 day ago

Stop giving them ideas

That last time made me laugh out loud.

[–] inari@piefed.zip 9 points 2 days ago

Sounds plausible
