I moved Tina from the big community tank downstairs up to her very own 10 gallon tank. She was being harassed by the big male pearl gourami. So far, she's been exploring her tank and picking off scuds.

Hello Tina!

Aww now it's Tina's time to shine.

I have soo many scuds, but no setup appropriate for a betta. Do they eat the adult scuds too?

I'm not exactly sure. I'm pretty new to scuds and got this bag of bugs thing from Phillip Fish Works. I'm fine with Tina picking them off but I hope the colony survives and Tina has some enrichment from hunting the little critters.

Yeah Tony has a nice bag of random stuff. Wish he could keep prices down a bit, or at least clean things up so there aren't any planaria on his leaves though 😅

I mean betta will sometimes hunt and kill shrimp. Sometimes even big shrimp like amano shrimp 😅 unless the betta you get just doesnt really like hunting much I'd think they'd go for the adults too

Scuds are probably a lot faster though, so 🤷🏻‍♂️

Scuds are delightful little psychos in my tanks. They go everywhere and zip around at impressive speeds.

However they can't teleport the way Neocaridina shrimp can.

I'm new to aquatic pets, is that a fighter fish?

She was labeled as a female koi alien betta.
