Needlessly gendered, casual sexism. It's not "people" who are implied to be dumb and impulsive, just men. Cool, very haha.

EDIT. man, sure are a lot of people who wanna defend sexism. I think the real lesson here is that I should just block people earlier.

Pretty sure people like their orange cats?

Also if we're going by your interpretation of what the poster is meaning it's not really needlessly gendered. Most people on the site would be young men, and young men statistically make more dumb and impulsive decisions than young women, it's why we pay more for insurance.

Such a gray cat reaction to this orange cat meme.

[–] AdolfSchmitler@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

What do you consider to be "orange cat behavior"?

[–] SailorFuzz@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (2 children)

A google search away

Orange Cat Behavior and Orange Cats Share One Brain Cell refers to the widespread notion and cliche that orange (ginger) cats are more chaotic, more affectionate and more stupid than other types of cats.

Interesting that you didn't bold the "more affectionate" part.

Orange cats are the best cats.

He did that all on his own, he was a great cat.

Ik looks like it's coming out of his original packaging. The value for collectors dropped a lot probably.

Does anyone else feel like elaborating? Lol

[–] Broadfern@lemmy.world 40 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Cute, friendly, food-motivated, prone to getting into lighthearted mischief, and occasionally doing things with little regard to personal safety because the fun factor is more important.

Sound like stuff we'd want more of that yeah? Reading into the too many men part of the statement i guess.

[–] velma@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 week ago

Eh the reckless part isn’t necessarily a positive we want to encourage wholesale, right?

This feels like a “golden retriever energy” type of post.

[–] Onomatopoeia@lemmy.cafe 7 points 1 week ago

Seems like that's just describing boys in general

[–] ordnance_qf_17_pounder@reddthat.com 4 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Oh nice I thought it meant drinking from a bowl and shitting in a tray

[–] sparkee@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Lazy, sarcastic, loves lasagna, and hates Mondays.

[–] Jake_Farm@sopuli.xyz 5 points 1 week ago

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

I like lasagna.

[–] Kazumara@discuss.tchncs.de 9 points 1 week ago

Liking Lasagne and hating Mondays?

[–] SarahValentine@pawb.social 7 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I would love to get me an orange-cat-brained cutie to adore, regardless of gender.

My single brain cell is offended!

[–] Etterra@discuss.online 6 points 1 week ago

She says that like it's a bad thing.

[–] OnyxRex@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 week ago

clearly someone doesn't like lasagna

I would never have another cat that wasn't a fixed orange tabby male. Every one of those I've ever owned or met have been the smartest and friendliest cats.

I miss Lexter the Molester. He was awesome. Now we have Jurgy the shop cat, who gives you shit if you aren't sitting in the chair to give him pets at 3PM for coffee time.
