Before clicking the link, is it the sky?

Edit: After clicking the link, my guess was not much less information than they provided. Also, strange that they don't mention anywhere in Éire on the map despite it getting the greatest % covering. Is that some weird "we're a British organisation, we don't show Ireland" thing or what?

How is it weird for a UK organisation to focus on the coverage of UK locations? They also don't show France or any other country affected.

The map includes Ireland, not France, and Ireland has the greatest percentage coverage. So it would be normal in such cases to also have a pointer that says "Cork - 98%", except for the weird quirks of nationalism.

I guess they don't assume that their UK audience would want to travel to another country for the event.

Why would they make that assumption?

Anybody in the north of Ireland could easily nip down to Cork for the night to get the best view they can. There's no border between the north and south of Ireland.

Yeah, Met Office used to cover Ireland of course, but it is a commercial entity these days first. And operates mostly for the UK market

If they had included the rest of Ireland there would be people complaining "Imperialist Brits including Ireland in a map of the UK!"

It is common practice of UK weather maps to show all of GB and Ireland but only include NI in the actual forecast. Example:
