It popped up in my notifications and the premise makes my head spin.

Gumshoe with one player? Wouldn't that need to be a Sherlock Holmes kind of investigator to cover all the needed specialisations?

Gumshoe in sword and sorcery? So instead of "of course you get that clue, the question is how much you get from it" it becomes "of course you hit that goblin, the question is how well"?

And apparently it's not something new.

Has anyone played this? How did it look like?

Never managed to find a group interested in playing gumshoe (it's either dnd or coc or some pbta gamearound here), would love to try in the future.

I'm playing in a Trail of Cthulhu campaign right now (Eternal Lies specifically), and honestly I like the system more than Call. Which is saying something, because Call of Cthulhu was the first RPG I ever played, and I have a lot of nostalgia for it. If you want Gumshoe and have people interested in CoC, maybe they could be convinced.

Though I do love a lot of PbtA stuff as well.

Looks fun, I'd love to see someone write-up their experience.
