We all just gonna ignore "corn bone" then?

[–] ITGuyLevi@programming.dev 24 points 4 weeks ago

That's the only reason I opened the comments... To be fair though, I think I'm gonna adopt that term.

[–] Omega_Jimes@lemmy.ca 18 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

The strangest part is that they said "corn on the cob" before corn bone. What do they think the cob is?

[–] Jax@sh.itjust.works 6 points 4 weeks ago
[–] FishFace@piefed.social 15 points 4 weeks ago

Corn bone goes in corn hole?

[–] IrateAnteater@sh.itjust.works 7 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

I'm 90% sure I've seen a corn bone video.

[–] Thassodar@sh.itjust.works 3 points 4 weeks ago

[–] boobookittyfrick@lemmy.zip 6 points 4 weeks ago

Technically less steps since the corn is unprocessed

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

Removing the core and replacing it is very much a process 😄

[–] Nouvellalia@lemmy.world 4 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

So is growing the corn and picking the corn and cooking the corn and buttering the corn and🤓

[–] finalarbiter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 25 points 4 weeks ago

An elote dog would probably kick ass

[–] charokol@lemmy.zip 23 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

“What is the word for the thing inside corn on the cob? Huh, it’s impossible to know. Guess I’ll go with corn bone“

[–] ms_lane@lemmy.world 29 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)
[–] BigBrainBrett2517@lemmy.world 7 points 4 weeks ago

"Corn on the cob" = "Corn on the corn on bone"

"Oh yeah, it's all coming together." -Kronk

[–] Dookieman12@piefed.social 19 points 4 weeks ago

Don't you mean "corn on the dog"?

[–] expatriado@lemmy.world 17 points 4 weeks ago* (last edited 4 weeks ago) (1 children)

left pic is corn mixed with some dough to bind, right pic i think they just stick an slice of hotdog at the end

[–] kamenlady@lemmy.world 14 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

Meet expatriado: destroyer of illusions

[–] expatriado@lemmy.world 9 points 4 weeks ago* (last edited 4 weeks ago) (1 children)

that would be captain disillusion, but i would take an spot as assistant disillusion

[–] bacon_saber@fedia.io 4 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

"Assistant to disillusion."

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 1 points 4 weeks ago

Does that count as Losing Your Illusion?

[–] wesker@lemmy.sdf.org 17 points 4 weeks ago

[–] Salamanderwizard@lemmy.world 12 points 4 weeks ago (2 children)

My partner is yelling at me that Jenna Marbles did this first.

She said she's not yelling. She is just talking with a firm and direct voice.

[–] masuhiro@lemmy.world 7 points 4 weeks ago

Tell your partner thank you for me and that while she may not be yelling, it would absolutely be deserved. We've made it all the way back oaround

[–] DrSoap@lemmy.world 3 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO SAY JENNA MARBLES... in a firm and direct voice!!

[–] Salamanderwizard@lemmy.world 2 points 4 weeks ago

She said she has never felt so welcomed on the internet before.

[–] Routhinator@startrek.website 8 points 4 weeks ago

Corn on the Hog?

[–] swade2569@lemmy.world 8 points 4 weeks ago* (last edited 4 weeks ago)

The ratio of comments referring to corn bone are beginning to make me question my awareness of the world around me.

Are more of you aware of this term? Have I missed out on over a potential 30+ years of hilarity and innuendo?

Maybe I’ll stay in bed today.

Seen a few in your time, have you?

[–] Tempus_Fugit@lemmy.world 7 points 4 weeks ago (3 children)

So a corn dog with less steps?

[–] blargh513@sh.itjust.works 8 points 4 weeks ago

I don't know about fewer steps. How does one remove the bone from the corn without the corn falling apart now lacking the structural support the bone provided?

Boneless corn don't just grow in a field you know.

[–] TheSporcerer@lemmy.zip 4 points 4 weeks ago

While somehow having simultaneously less steps…

[–] emeralddawn45@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 4 weeks ago

And ironically, more corn.

[–] lefaucet@slrpnk.net 6 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

Teach me this secret technique, sensei

[–] MacNCheezus@lemmy.today 5 points 4 weeks ago

That seems like a lot of work tbh

[–] GalacticGrapefruit@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago

What about an actual corndog?

[–] BoosBeau@lemmy.world 3 points 4 weeks ago

You don't eat the corn bone?

[–] anon_8675309@lemmy.world 3 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)
[–] techfox@sh.itjust.works 2 points 4 weeks ago

The only way this could be more literally a corn dog, is if it was a Dachshund coated in corn.

Damn this is some next level shit. I bet that hot dog goes flying out like a middle when you try to bite into it.

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 3 points 4 weeks ago

Yes, but who boned the corn in the first place? Jesus... get your weiner out of that corn, OP!
