Someone never went to college. I learned how to open a bottle with nothing but the palm of my hand and a hard counter
The Far Side
Hello fellow Far Side fans!
About this community and how I post the comic strip… Many moons ago, I would ask my Dad to save the newspaper for me everyday so I could read my favorite comic strips and one of those was The Far Side. These days of course you find just about anything online including www.thefarside.com where they post several comics a day and I repost them here. Just to note, the date you see in my posts is not the initial release date, but the date they were posted on the website.
The Far Side is a single-panel comic created by Gary Larson and syndicated by Chronicle Features and then Universal Press Syndicate, which ran from December 31, 1979, to January 1, 1995 (when Larson retired as a cartoonist). Its surrealistic humor is often based on uncomfortable social situations, improbable events, an anthropomorphic view of the world, logical fallacies, impending bizarre disasters, (often twisted) references to proverbs, or the search for meaning in life… Read more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Far_Side

Or a lighter, or any similarly sized object.
I’ve done it with a single (albeit full sized) sheet of newspaper.
I still feel like that should be enough to qualify for German citizenship, but there’s unsurprisingly a lot more paperwork involved.
Interestingly enough, I was one of the few that could do the counter trick but everyone else knew how to do the lighter trick. I still don't know how to do it with a lighter
I used to be able to do it pretty well with a lighter, but honestly it is a lot more difficult than with a counter. I also once saw someone shoot the bottle cap off like a champagne cork (accidentally) while doing the lighter trick. Im sure that rarely happens, but it could have easily put an eye out
You do run the risk of ending up with lots of glass shards in your beer that way. Or at least I do, maybe it's a skill issue
I've never broken a bottle that way lol, but I've heard that it can happen if you use too much force
I once knew a guy whose nickname was Shark.
Don't use your teeth to open bottles kids, stick with the hand and hard counter technique!
Holy shit, I thought the teeth method was a joke! That would hurt like hell
Hey, is that Waldo at the tiller?
