Looks like someone flattened an ICE train
Spacetech Retrofuturism, Vintage Tech, and New Concepts
The future was yesterday.
Cool pics of cool retro-ish stuff.
If I know an image was made with AI, I'll label it as AI. Beyond that, I'm not gonna spend time investigating how every image was created. If it looks interesting, I post it. Whether it came from a camera, Photoshop, an artist, or AI isn't something I take too seriously.
If you know how an image was made, feel free to say so. If you don't know, don't worry about it.
Rule 1: No serial downvoting or trolling just because you don't like AI.
Rule 2: AI is fine. If it looks cool, it is cool, babe! Label if ya want. Or not. I don't care.
Rule 3: Be civil.
Rule 4: Don't just call content “slop,” or use similar insults, unless you also contribute content yourself.
If you don't like these rules, I suggest you create you own community with your own rules. Lemmy can always use more content!

(And Deutsche Bhan isn't political at all. In fact its the one thing that unifies all Germans, in righteous contempt)
Oh!! Yes, that makes more sense! My bad. Lemmy has a tendency to make everything political, but in this case, it was me that did it this time! Unbanned and comment restored. Thank you for the update and looking out for the fellow!!
Why didn’t this design ever actually take off? So damn cool!
A lot of it has to do with safety regulations going into effect in the 80ish (depending on where in the world you are). Front ends like this are guillotines for legs, pretty much the same reason we lost pop-up headlights.
If you compare the original Cybertruck to what was released for purchase you will notice that the front end was softened significantly.

Oddly enough, nothing is done about the super tall blunt fronts that are all the rage these days – despite studies having shown that they also make the car more deadly for pedestrians.
Maybe they'll need a couple more years.
Imagine a pickup truck t-boning you in the door.
What difference would that make? This literally looks like a similar profile to lambos, and Batman got tboned by a pickup in a lambo and got out ok.
Reminds me of the cars from THX 1138 but apparently those were Lola T70s
I didn't know about the Lola T70s. I'll have to look those up.
