Uh… not sure what 3 things you bought, totaling $12.70, that you have to be mad about. 3 individual onions maybe? 3 medium sodas? 3 pairs of socks? 3 packets of cheese slices?
This seems more like the time where you used to be able to buy something for $12.70, but now it costs $22.80 for the same thing. Like a pound of kitty litter, or 24 pack of toilet paper. Or package of those stupid tide pods. they work so well, damn them. I don’t know why I hate them so much, but I do. whatever I still buy them
I think they're referring to the fact that $12.70 isn't evenly divisible by 3. However they seem to have forgotten sales tax, at least that's my guess
Probably this, but I couldnt even have come up with that explanation because prices always include tax in the EU. Whenever I encounter prices without tax included it feels like a scam.
