I mean, Congress isn't exactly asserting their authority as a co-equal branch of government here. They should be holding the President to account, yet the House Speaker admits that he is "protecting" the President.

To his credit, Cassidy realizes that too. The full quote is:

Cassidy accused Trump of acting “as if Congress is merely an appendage, and frankly, sometimes Congress acts like it’s an appendage”.

But isn't it clear that Congress isn't acting like an appendage, but more kike an organ. Specifically a pussy. Congress is a bunch of pussies, and we know how Trump treats those.

There’ll be no insulting pussy, thank you very much. Worm infested excrement is a better option I think.

Pussies can take a pounding though. These guys fold after trump yells at them.

No shit, the GOP are acting as his arms, legs, and asshole.

Just a short while ago they gave back ICE funding that the DNC cut off since February.

I don’t know, there’s sufficient evidence that DONALD j. TRUMP’s asshole still works overtime.

This loser only speaks up once the leopards ate his face. What is it with people on the right who only care once it affects them directly...

[–] TankovayaDiviziya@lemmy.world 10 points 3 months ago

Because the Congress acts like an appendage.

If ONLY there was SOMETHING Bill Cassidy could have DONE to Stop Trump besides for Rubbing Stamping literally EVERYTHING Trump asked with NO Pushback!

Turns out that when you base a form of government on faith that everyone will participate fairly, it's particularly vulnerable to destruction by those who proclaim their faith to be the end all be all. That we had no mechanism to block a coup leader from becoming president is evidence enough. His coup worked once, it will be used again by him and others in the future unless we bring out the guillotine to enforce those laws.

Been this way forever now its not new.

Cute how he was absolutely mute all along and is only speaking out now, when he's in trouble with his re-election campaign.

It is an appendage: a flaccid penis. It just dangles there uselessly.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

Haha. How sharper than a serpent’s tooth is a representative primaried.

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

Congress seems to like being used as an appendage though...

Why wouldn't he? Congress is more than willing to act that way as is the Senate.
