I love Witch Hat Atelier the manga and the anime's animation is beautiful, but I can't stand the voice acting for the protagonist in either Japanese or English. It's so screamy and loud and overly dramatic. I couldn't keep watching and just went back to rereading the manga.

MODERATORS
So far, my while I've like a lot Yomi no Tsugai and Kill Blue (among other less notable mentions), my fav anime this season has been Ramparts of Ice. I wasn't expecting much at first, but without a doubt it has become the weekly release I look forward the most.
I was also looking forward to Witch Hat Atelier, but I think it's not for me. I think this is very much controversial (for some reason I honestly can't relate), but I hated that certain character not only got scot-free for what was basically attempted murder, but apparently such character also becomes important and never really faces any consequences for her actions. No, thank you; I like my fantasy to help me escape from the world's injustices, not to glorify them.

Why's that? I've also watched (and liked) the entire first season, but I'm pretty sure it contains no yuri or yaoi whatsoever. Which is probably for the best, considering most of the main characters are kids.
yes. there is virtually no romance in this show. I mean yuri more in the general sense of "girl having good chemistry and interacting with each other". When I say "people who like yuri", i mean it like "people who like animes with cute girls interacting with each other".

edit: I watched it, too. I was surprised how good it was. after ep1 i assumed it was the regular powerfantasy harem fantasy, which will drop qualities fast and is only carried by fanservice, but it turned out the quality was consistent through the season. The fanservice was strong, but it not too strong.
Yup, they are. Fixed — thanks for pointing it out. (I was in doubt on where to rank it, and accidentally split both names apart.)
IMO it's a series with a damn good worldbuilding, and it got some good animation; for me it was way more enjoyable than Higeki no Genkyou, surprisingly so because I like Pryde's story way better in the manga (The Barbarian's Bride gets a bit stale over time IMO). But at the same time I couldn't see myself being as excited with it than I was with Bertia.
