It's their primordial pouch!

My first thought too!

I'm confused by this curtain setup... do they have two layers of curtains?

[–] lb_o@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Have similar setup.

This is because curtains are not wide enough to cover the window and light is bleeding through the sides.

And white nights are huge problem here in the north.

But it looks like the rods end about a foot from the wall - do they telescope out or something? I've never seen this.

Under the cats neck you can see the support. I think they're usually listed as double curtain rod systems

I see the support but the whole thing is only like a foot long. Is that all of it, like for a really skinny window?

It looks like the inner curtain isn't bunched up. My guess would be the curtains were to the left and the cat bunched up the outer curtain at the end.

Looks like 9 folds about 4" long each so maybe 2-3 ft wide windows if these are single curtains. Usually this style is double though so it could be half a wider window. Also I think that's the corner of the window frame near the cats tail.

My cat's a weirdo, he loves them belly rubs! Gets pissy if you pet him and will complain until you give the belly rubs.

He's the first cat my wife's ever lived with. This has caused her much pain when interacting with other cats ....

My parent's cat when it was younger would walk up to you and just THUD literally fall over and expose his belly begging for belly rubs. He's gotten a bit less social as he's aged though.

[–] Sturgist@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 day ago

Mine still does that and he's almost 11. Frustratingly, he rushes between your legs while you're walking and flops belly up right in front of your feet. I've accidentally booted the poor guy across the room a few times. He's toppled my mother in law over him a few times. Still does it though the wee bastard.
