Welcome to The Shitpost Office

Shitposts processed from 9 to 5, with occasional overtime on weekends.

Rule 1: Be Civil, Not SinisterTreat others like fellow employees, not enemies in the breakroom.

  • No harassment, dogpiling, or brigading
  • No bigotry (transphobia, racism, sexism, etc.)
  • Respect people’s time and space. We’re here to laugh, not to loathe

Rule 2: No Prohibited PostageSome packages are simply undeliverable. That means:

  • No spam or scams
  • No porn or sexually explicit content
  • No illegal content
  • NSFW content must be properly tagged

If you see anything that violates these rules, please report it so we can return it to sender. Otherwise? Have fun, be silly, and enjoy the chaos. The office runs best when everyone’s laughing.... or retching over the stench, at least.

The fourth plane is the invisible one we made to fuck everyone's civil rights in response.

Remember when Homeland Security was a temporary measure? People actually believed it was temporary?

Frog into a boiling pot and it's been decades in the making.

My secret conspiracy is that 9/11 was planned and if not it was 100% egged on by America.

I will never justify what was done that day but they sure and shit had it coming and it was long overdue.

You aren't the first person to come up with that. People stated saying "Bush did 9/11" and "jet fuel can't melt steel beams" almost immediately after it happened.

[–] whoisearth@lemmy.ca 2 points 4 weeks ago

Bin Laden didn't blow up the projects.

[–] Leviathan@lemmy.world 28 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

Just let him not know, damn.

The whole "never forget" thing was just for justifying their fascist forever war against the wrong people to steal their oil.

[–] Agent641@lemmy.world 13 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

"9/11, Never Forget!" Is same energy a "I'm from Buenos Aires, and I say kill 'em all!"

[–] Rcklsabndn@sh.itjust.works 2 points 4 weeks ago

I'm doing my part!

I was supposed to fly, with my whole family, later that morning. We drove instead.

From a famous promontory near watchung, with about a thousand people, I watched the second tower fall.

We had a peer set to interview at C.F that morning, right as the disaster started. He'd missed a ferry and that caused him to be late for his interview. Just as well.

A number of our friends commuted through that site every morning at the same time. Luckily, they all eventually reported in, but we'd thought they were affected directly for a lot of the day.

I'm one of the good ones! Besides, I own the guillotine company, and you can't have one.

[–] Proprietary_Blend@lemmy.world 1 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

Would you consider maybe not being a billionaire?

I mean, the lead pipe is also an option. The guillotine is actually for your sake.

[–] Headofthebored@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

I like the good 'ol fashioned 5/8 inch rubber heater hose. About 2 or so feet of it. It's stiffer and a bit heavier than a section of regular garden hose. It'll take alot longer than a lead pipe.

I imagine that trip wasn't quite as carefree as it was meant to be

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmings.world 2 points 4 weeks ago

With a toddler! I wedged a little TV between the seats, facing backwards, and played a video of Cathy Rigby's legendary performance of Peter Pan, over and over, all the way down, and all the way back. By the time we got home, I had the entire thing memorized, and I had never actually SEEN it.

"So you're telling me explosions were seen at the base of Tower 7 and it housed records related to the contemporary audit of the pentagon that it coincidentally failed quietly but no one cared about since we were suddenly at war and there were no reported casualties from Tower 7 at all despite it supposedly being fully operational and housing multiple government agency offices?"

[–] Hell_nah_brother@thelemmy.club 5 points 4 weeks ago

“No you don’t get it: the debris of the first tower slightly touched the only load-bearing pillar of tower 7, causing it to catch fire, break, explode and with a cascading event taking the whole 190 mt. - 47 storey building down with it. What do you not understand? It’s simple physics man.”

It's funny how the two most common sayings from New York are "Never forget" and "fuuugeedddaboutit"

[–] EtAl@lemmy.dbzer0.com 14 points 4 weeks ago

Wow. I feel old.

[–] yermaw@sh.itjust.works 11 points 4 weeks ago (2 children)

Poor guy man look at that face

[–] Agent641@lemmy.world 3 points 4 weeks ago* (last edited 4 weeks ago)

Do NOT fucking tell that man about Harambe. He's been through enough!

[–] Etterra@discuss.online 2 points 4 weeks ago

Just another beautiful Tuesday morning

[–] therealdries@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)
[–] Grainne@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 4 weeks ago (3 children)

You see when someone attacks America it is the worst thing in the world, when America bombs civilians nonstop overseas it is simply a Tuesday.

[–] therealdries@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

Yeah... the downvotes tells me that USians are still really sore about experiencing a teensy bit of the mechanised slughter they routinely visit upon others.

[–] Grainne@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 4 weeks ago

At least it's fitting

[–] trolololol@lemmy.world 3 points 4 weeks ago

Ceasefire typically starts on Friday. So Monday to Friday morning it's all bombing.

I wish this was sarcasm.

[–] whoisearth@lemmy.ca 1 points 4 weeks ago

There's what 3 famous 9/11 globally of which the other 2 are objectively worse than America's?
