The mention of a shooting without any details lead me to read up on this complex and, wow, what a disaster.

The article on Futurism is dishonest and inaccurate.

These are not wealthy individuals or underground bunkers and the residents turned against the fraudster property owner, not each other. These are above-ground bunkers which foolhardy preppers pay exorbitant sums to lease and the owner of the site is basically committing fraud by promising features which will clearly never be provided and by evicting anyone who gets upset about that, while keeping their money.

Read the article I linked for all the crazy details on the many lawsuits against him.

During one particularly hairy incident, a man who moved into one of the units with his wife, his daughter, and her four children, pulled a gun on a Vivos contractor who had pulled up with a front-end loader to his bunker. The resident eventually shot the contractor, injuring him. However, South Dakota’s stand-your-ground law led to a grand jury declining to indict him.

How the hell does this even make sense? If the contractor was there for an actual reason then how the hell does stand-your-ground law apply? It sounds like he shot someone that should have never been shot. Guns and gun laws are fucking dumb.

It sounds like that because this is a bad and inaccurate article. This article has the details: https://www.frcheraldstar.com/news/trouble-prepper-paradise

The guy who was shot went to the shooter's bunker with the stated intent to "fuck him up" and is a convicted violent felon. The shooting sounds pretty justified as legitimate self-defense.

Thanks for the info! Yeah that does make it sound way worse.

What, do you expect to hold the rich accountable, or something?

This would make a great reality TV show. Lock a bunch of 7th Gen rich folks in a doomsday bunker, and watch them slowly lose their shit and kill each other.

Good times.

That's basically the premise of the vaults in the Fallout games, except that they additionally let other rich people do experiments on them in addition to VaultTek cutting corners for profit in a lot of them, which I guess that's basically Vivos in this case.

Lock

You mean 'cement' , right? I'd ppv that for days.

They're all so prepared for a quick apocalypse, and aren't even aware we've been in a slow moving one for 50 years or more.

I like the line about how theres all these pending litigations piling up when they should realize there wont be any courts to adjudicate on their frivolous squabbles when what they want so badly to happen finally happens

To me, thats what gives this all away as larping or whatever. They just cant help but betray how clingy and dependant they are on civilization to maintain them and fight/have delegated their battles for them. They cannot fathom a world in which their birthright means nothing and they are no better off than the rest of us Great Unwashed

Like Prince Charming in Shrek 2 getting disrespected at his acting gig

Good.

When we are forced into apocalyptic conditions because of the Epstein class's unfettered greed, the worthless parasites hiding in bunkers are going to be blamed. And we have lots of cement.

It would be good if these were actually wealthy people and not just some rubes being taken advantage of by a rich asshole in California.
