You enabled it and got played

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 7 points 1 hour ago

America has been getting played by Israel since the 40s

[–] the_armchair_potato@lemmy.world 2 points 56 minutes ago

And what does everyone think of America with Trump as their leader 😆😅. Entitled, ignorant cunt!!

[–] Thelomer@feddit.org 2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)
[–] Saledovil@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 hour ago

He's right. I used to think of Israel as just another country, and now I regard them the same way I regard North Korea.

[–] IndustryStandard@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

Something something both sides the exact same

Netanyahu turned Israel into Israpel.

[–] CyroSignal@lemmy.world 8 points 4 hours ago

It's just a minor crisis, he'll forgive him.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 19 points 9 hours ago

In what has been described as one of the worst calls between the two, Trump “steamrolled” Netanyahu, a US official said, and Netanyahu responded with “OK, OK just make sure everything is taken care of”.

It's the Reagan moment where he figured out that he could tell them to stop for whatever they were doing and they stopped. Trump cares a lot about what people think. I would love it if he finds israel too toxic to support and cuts them off.

Baby throws tantrum.

Can we get a conservative to translate?

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 10 points 8 hours ago

fox, newsmax, oan, and many right wing pundits will not even report on this.

[–] mp3@lemmy.ca 143 points 1 day ago (3 children)

And it won't matter as long as Israel receives money and support from the US.

And I doubt the US will ever stop.

[–] gandalf_der_12te@feddit.org 1 points 1 hour ago

And I doubt the US will ever stop.

naah there's legitimate reason to believe that they will stop

for one, israel has mostly existed to pressure arab countries into giving the US oil. because no modern society functions without a lot of energy. now with renewable energy, that's significantly less important so i don't see why the US would go through all these hassles just to get energy.

The USA has literally funded terrorist groups aka "freedom fighters" such as the IRA, the Taliban, and the Contras around the world for decades. Supporting a nuclear powered rogue state is nothing new unfortunatly

[–] OrteilGenou@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

Well... none of those are nuclear powered rogue states, so maybe somewhat new

[–] Sabin10@lemmy.world 67 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Isreal is the best way to funnel billions of dollars back to American defense companies, of course it's not going to stop.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago)

hasnt that been going on for decades. other convoluted ways is defense tech pipeline from universities that help israel down the line(tech degrees, engineering etc). its to FUND specifically POLITICIANS, which they cant just skim like PUTIN does with RUSSIA. Hakeem, slotkin, SCHUMER, FETTERMAN are recieving end of these funds.

[–] Taldan@lemmy.world 13 points 21 hours ago

It also directly goes to politicians through AIPAC

He was told that Iran would fold quickly and it would be an easy win for his ego. It’s not happening, and even Fox News can’t sugarcoat the fuel crisis for months and months.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 2 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

probably suggested by NETANYAHU, if you dont want these epstein files to be released, distract the public by attacking iran, and also benefiting us by giving us aid.

[–] Someone8765210932@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago

I remember reading a news article about Lindsey Graham who aggressively pushed Trump to attack Iran, while traveling to Israel to get "coached" on how to sell this.

Republican U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina has been exposed by the Wall Street Journal for "coaching" a foreign leader on how to influence Donald Trump.

The WSJ ahead of the weekend published a story called, "Lindsey Graham's Quest to Sell Trump on Striking Iran." In that piece, there is a nugget about the senator engaging in a campaign to help Netanyahu to persuade Trump to launch an Iran war. [...]

"To help make the case on Iran, Graham traveled several times to Israel in recent weeks, meeting with members of the country's intelligence agency," the Journal reported Friday. [...]

The report further states, "He spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, coaching him on how to lobby the president for action. Netanyahu showed the president intelligence that persuaded Trump to go ahead, Graham said." (source: msn, mention WSJ article, archived WSJ article)

Honestly, the fact the Graham openly talks about this is just insane. I guess this shit isn't illegal, nor does it make people question you...

Now he's looking at Cuba for his 'win'.

[–] HobbitFoot@thelemmy.club 31 points 1 day ago

Cuba was being planned well before the Iran War started.

You thought gas prices are bad? Just wait until sugarcane sugar skyrockets!

[–] errer@lemmy.world 20 points 1 day ago (1 children)

We don’t use any of that commie sugar in the US, all corn squeezins baybee

How about instead of Cuba you invade Israel Mr President? Now that would be something no president world ever have done. You would surely go down in history! I'm sure we can also come up with some kind of biggest penis peace prize for you.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 18 points 1 day ago (5 children)

And what, make it the 51st state? ☹️

[–] ZombieMantis@lemmy.world 3 points 1 hour ago

We can keep it a territory, that's fine. They don't need to vote.

Besides, enforcing the Civil Rights act on them would be a delight to see.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 2 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago) (1 children)

No, the 52nd. The idea of a 51st state is ruined forever, we should just skip that number. Plus then it makes it real easy to split the states up into soccer teams

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago

Can't argue with this logic.

[–] PyroNeurosis@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 20 hours ago

Now they can get representation in congress without the exorbitant bill they usually have to pay.

[–] theacharnian@lemmy.ca 15 points 1 day ago

👐the best state👐

This article is thinly veiled pro-trump propoganda.

[–] go_go_gadget@lemmy.world 3 points 8 hours ago

And it works because Biden is a zionist piece of shit who also belongs in prison.

[–] Bwaz@lemmy.world 15 points 22 hours ago

For once, he's not wrong. Though the exact same could be said about him & USA.

[–] einkorn@feddit.org 44 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Wow, a rare moment of clarity for Trump?

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 2 points 8 hours ago

people with dementia to a get an air of clarity before falling back into dementia.

[–] PP_BOY_@lemmy.world 49 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's an unsourced alleged phone call from a British rag. I'm really not holding my breath on this one

[–] Nick@mander.xyz 26 points 1 day ago

If it makes you feel better, it's not originally from a British rag, it's actually from White House mouthpiece Barak Ravid at Axios! The same "reporter" who's been edging the public for months about an Iran agreement being imminent to help manipulate the market every few days. So I'm sure it's true :)

One hundred thousand toddlers pointing to a lion, rhino, camel

"Lian...... Whino..... Camal!"

"Oh my god! This is the test Obama and Biden couldn't do. My kid will be President some day!"

Yeah, Benny is crazy. Literally everyone with basic cognitivity knows this. And for quite a long time. Those that support him are smart enough to have a money play from it and with their own disorders allowing for it, mainly psychopathy.

But, instead.. "That is indeed a camel, sir. Einstein would blush... No, sir, you aren't related to him and- .... oh, of course, sir........ Well, now we know who came up with camels as the name. Uncle Einstein's finest work, sir."
