Will he stay there? Please?

[–] Footer1998@crazypeople.online 2 points 2 hours ago

it's ok, once the people sieze control, we can issue bounties for their arrest and drag them back to stand trial, then execute these enemies of humanity

Why is it always Argentina?

[–] Noite_Etion@lemmy.world 14 points 5 hours ago

Nazis love the company of other Nazis

[–] Wilco@lemmy.zip 10 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

They need to raise the exit tax, like right now.

MAGA politicians are about to bolt for Argentina... just look at the money they sent there.

[–] ironycanal@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

I feel like there's space for reaching across the aisle here. They really want to do brutal colonialist violence against mostly defenseless countries in the global south that have never done anything wrong.

Maybe that's not always a bad thing?

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 3 points 2 hours ago

Argentina is where the Nazis fled to after the Wwar2, what a coincidence a german nazi(thiel) is going there.

[–] HasturInYellow@lemmy.world 2 points 6 hours ago

Well we are well known for invading other countries. Maybe we will make a stop over there to collect our stolen goods.

On brand, I mean his idols all did this too in the late 1940’s…next thing you know is Pete will buy land in Antarctica.

[–] bangupjobasusual@lemmy.world 7 points 9 hours ago

hes leaving before someone takes a shot at him like some of his fellows.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 2 hours ago

hes also gay, a first target for any fascist govt once they have complete control. He has his puppets(altman, and vance who are also gay) as sacrificial lambs.

Yes, because these people are not bound by nations. They are part of a global community that very much wants to keep itself free from global government for, more or less, the same reason bandits operate away from cities.

[–] tehn00bi@lemmy.world 10 points 11 hours ago

You mean cabal. Ultra wealthy using their power to oppress those beneath them.

Why do the Nazis always flee to Argentina?

Is it really a growing trend... that USA's billionaires are seeking a plan B? I think instead a billionaire paid the author to say so (through a proxy, of course); seems more likely to me.

Billionaires often have second citizenship in other countries, it's like Billionaire 101.

(I can't read the article though so if it proves me wrong do let me know)

[–] Witchfire@lemmy.world 7 points 12 hours ago (2 children)

As someone who is in the process of going through their second full immigration process (first was US), it drives me absolutely nuts that they can just buy citizenship elsewhere. Meanwhile us plebes have to be world class champions to even get entered in the lottery for permanent residency elsewhere.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 2 hours ago

they only need to spend a few million or 10s million to get a instant citizenship.

[–] TrippingBalls@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago) (2 children)

Or struggle with the cash to renunciate citizenship. It's the only good Trump has done. Lower the cost to GTFO

[–] Witchfire@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago

If they haven't denaturalized me by the time I get a new citizenship elsewhere, I have considered it numerous times...

[–] JasonDJ@lemmy.zip 1 points 9 hours ago

Land of the free

Costs ~~$2350~~ $450 to leave.

[–] Reygle@lemmy.world 23 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Argentinians! Please take careful note of the location, and any underground facilities' air intake locations. When needed we may ask you go fill them with concrete.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 2 hours ago

they have to get rid milei first, i dont see that happening.

[–] trollercoaster@sh.itjust.works 173 points 1 day ago (5 children)

Nazis fleeing to Argentinia before the war is over? This branch of reality is broken in so many ways.

Yes, mess things up at home, then fly away when they get out of control. What a classic.

[–] EatingOnions@lemmy.world 65 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Isn't it part of Project 2025 to collapse economy so they can shaft it for quick profit?

[–] CitizenKong@lemmy.world 48 points 1 day ago

Also collapse the current system to establish cyberpunkian corporate city states.

Theory out there: he’s going there to try stuff over there first to perfect it and bring it back. Don’t celebrate just yet.

[–] Prove_your_argument@piefed.social 24 points 21 hours ago (2 children)

They know the US is about to have an economic collapse, possible policitical coup or uprising, and that billionaires’ and their wealth are the target of the opposition party.

Wealth tax is terrifying, almost as much as jail or dying. Way cheaper to hire a huge PMC tier security team and ride it out in a foreign country that will be less affected by the US.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 2 hours ago

thats why russia, and billionaires are hastily funding all the conservative groups as much as they can to stave it off.

[–] rayyy@piefed.social 2 points 12 hours ago

The upcoming election doesn't bode well for the Epstein elite so maybe he is jumping ship early.

[–] modernangel@sh.itjust.works 34 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

Made America so great that now it's someplace to flee if you're rich enough.

[–] stickyprimer@lemmy.world 4 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Think of all the job creation he’s going to spark in Argentina though. /s

[–] No1@aussie.zone 2 points 6 hours ago

The billionaire equivalent of a 14-year-old shouting "I'm running away!" at their parents. He'll be back, and until then, he won't be missed.

[–] DickFiasco@sh.itjust.works 20 points 22 hours ago

All we had to do to get him to leave was enact a 5% wealth tax and a pied-à-terre tax? Shit, we could've done this years ago.
