Is it really a growing trend... that USA's billionaires are seeking a plan B? I think instead a billionaire paid the author to say so (through a proxy, of course); seems more likely to me.

Billionaires often have second citizenship in other countries, it's like Billionaire 101.

(I can't read the article though so if it proves me wrong do let me know)

As someone who is in the process of going through their second full immigration process (first was US), it drives me absolutely nuts that they can just buy citizenship elsewhere. Meanwhile us plebes have to be world class champions to even get entered in the lottery for permanent residency elsewhere.

Or struggle with the cash to renunciate citizenship. It's the only good Trump has done. Lower the cost to GTFO
