6. All posts must be news articles.
No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

It's also weird how he thinks that everyone elsewhere in the world is doing everything in relation to an election that could adversely affect him.

It's a perfectly valid strategy. If there is an outside chance that the political opposition takes control and forces an end to the war or removes Trump, it is in their interest to wait if they can.

He doesn't need Iran to make peace. He could literally just end the war at any time by bringing everyone home.
He could end it but not without giving a lot to Iran to get the straight open the way it was before he started the war. There is 0 chance of him getting a better deal than we already had
Which is why he's gonna drag this out. There's literally no way out of this for Trump without him looking like a loser in any scenario.

Bibi needs an excuse to cancel Israels elections again, and I believe they're in June.
Even if the US withdrew today, Israel wouldn't stop and wouldn't de-escalate even untill after their cancelled elections.
That also means nothing trump does can get Israel to end the war either.
It's a three (four if you count Hezbollah) sided war, and trump has zero influence over anyone else involved. He has no control and that's why his dream result is "everything goes back to how it was before I started this". In his ideal victory, he gets nothing and he's unlikely to get that good of a deal.
Iran has already won the conflict. What's holding things up at this point is Trump wants them to give him some kind of concession so that he can declare victory and, at least in his own mind, look like a winner. But why the hell would Iran do that?
I can’t wait to see how he spins the outcome of his boondoggle, and more so how his base contorts themselves to call this a decisive victory.

I have no love for the Iranian regime that has killed tens of thousands and oppressed millions. But Iran has been strategically ahead of Trump from the start.
They view themselves as a 3000 year old civilization and they will always outwait their foes. The only leverage against an enemy like that is the threat of imminent destruction. It seems that ship has already sailed.

And it's all because Trump had to be a petty little bitch and endorse a criminal AG for Senate, because he thinks Cornyn isn't “MAGA enough” despite voting Trump's way 99.2% of the time. A record which makes him more loyal than Ted Cruz, by the way.

The Iranians already did that once, kidnapping the American Embassy workers, helped get Reagan elected in 1980, then released them on his Inauguration Day. I doubt the Iranians are going to be as helpful to Trump.
