How bad is it?
Half of my friends here on the west coast are cultural refugees from TN. Like North Carolina and Texas, it's a state with plenty of wealth and opportunities for the privileged where those privileged wealthy willingly choose resentment, persecution, marginalization, oppression, and systemic hypocrisy as their ideologies of choice.
That's a pretty apt description of the Midwest in general for sure.
