Let's make our own ben Shapiro, with blackjack, and hookers, and forget the ben Shapiro!

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 8 hours ago

Let's also forget the blackjack and just party 🤷🏻

Interesting but naive read. This new right is not going nowhere. The river of ruin runs deep.

[–] TheGoldenV@lemmy.world 30 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

Yeah, this copium keeps popping up.

For the people in the back: The MAGAts will _always vote (R). It doesn’t matter if _________, they’re STILL going to vote (R).

BTW, there are no “republicans” or “conservatives” (what the hell do they conserve anyway?) only the MAGAt horde. If they can make it to the polls they’ll pull the lever for their guy every time.

[–] KelvarCherry@piefed.blahaj.zone 6 points 19 hours ago

If MAGA can call themselves Evangelical but not care about God (which I have seen many testify to); they can be angry at gas and grocery prices and still check R down the line. They've done it regularly while getting fucked by Republican policies. Identity politics, y'all.

Unless his financial situation is as perilous as my own I don't believe you

Are you really still falling for this bait? If you’re laughing at them you’re not fighting them.

Yeah. "Laughter is the best medicine" is an aphorism for a reason.

[–] darthsundhaft@piefed.social 12 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

Is he finally going through puberty?

[–] PunnyName@lemmy.world 3 points 15 hours ago

If he finally embraced his creative side and went back to critiquing movies (like his video about Wicked), the world could start healing.

[–] woop_woop@lemmy.world 13 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

So quit paying attention to him. That's accomplishes the opposite of making him go away.

[–] OwOarchist@pawb.social 4 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

I remember something else that made a different right-wing blogosphere grifter go away recently, and it was very effective.

[–] PunnyName@lemmy.world 3 points 15 hours ago

I have video! It's one of the few things in this world that makes me smile.

Funny article. I didn’t know about the bad GoT show.

Having said that, right here is where I know Ben used AI

But here's the thing.

This is a smoking gun for me, as I now hear some version of this daily due to AI adoption.

  • Here’s the thing
  • That’s the thing
  • But here’s the thing

This bundle of words has become completely useless as a punch-up. The words add no additional value. It would be more concise to cut them all together. It’s now difficult for me to find written, opinion text without some version of this phrase.

Anyway, I hope the right keeps imploding & infighting, wasting their money, being focused on some stupid culture war no one gives a fuck about while real problems stack up.

“Here’s the thing…”

[–] Fandangalo@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago

Thank you internet stranger.

[–] angryred67@piefed.social 3 points 4 hours ago

"Here's the thing" is one of his favorite phrases. A lot of people repeat that one, in fact.

[–] MnemonicBump@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 21 hours ago

"here's the thing" is a set of words that Ben Shapiro uses so often that it might as well be his catch phrase. That is a real thing that he said, that's just how he talks

[–] RobertoOberto@sh.itjust.works 10 points 23 hours ago

The article states that he said that in a video, so I don't thinks it's necessarily a indicator of AI. It's not at all uncommon for people to use that phrasing when they're speaking.

But I'm not about to waste any of my time actually watching his video to confirm.

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 3 points 20 hours ago* (last edited 20 hours ago) (1 children)

This was a video so he said those things. He needs/wants a line to get watchers to listen closely to a specific point. Reading the transcript it doesn't sound like AI at all, just lunacy.

[–] OwOarchist@pawb.social 1 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Might still have had AI 'help' writing the script.

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 3 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago)

Don't think so. His style and attacks are very unique.

[–] hperrin@lemmy.ca 6 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

You may be right…. but here’s the thing

[–] MintyFresh@lemmy.world 7 points 23 hours ago

You've said "here's the thing" too many times. You are now cursed of the dick

[–] Doug@piefed.social 2 points 23 hours ago

I don’t pay enough attention to obvious AI inserts (only because I don’t read much), so thanks for talking about that.

[–] BrianTheeBiscuiteer@lemmy.world 6 points 23 hours ago

I could piss on his pain. Does that help?
