You always could, we just used to kill people in power who did it too much. Then the people in power started teaching us that violence is never the answer, and the rest is history.

First of all the voters are responsible. They are easily manipulated so the parties, the elite, the media and others are responsible, too. But we have to stop using democracy if the voters are so unreliable that they don't count.

1981*. Reagan started the process of transferring wealth from the working class to the ultra wealthy through 'trickle down' economics. The idea spread beyond the US and now we are all destined for indentured servitude.
