Water, how does it work?
A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The most popular seem to be lighthearted clever little truths, hidden in daily life.
Here are some examples to inspire your own showerthoughts:
If you made it this far, showerthoughts is accepting new mods. This community is generally tame so its not a lot of work, but having a few more mods would help reports get addressed a little sooner.
Whats it like to be a mod? Reports just show up as messages in your Lemmy inbox, and if a different mod has already addressed the report, the message goes away and you never worry about it.

I commented on the last canal questioning but that post got deleted. I'm assuming it's the same person since this is such a specific topic.
This is the fellow obsessed with chavs for some reason.
There are also canals that aren't this shallow. As summer lasts on average five minutes, anybody falling into one is more likely to wear thick layers of clothes, which is a problem when they're getting wet. Most British people are also probably under the influence when they fall into a canal. Or children. And you can drown in a puddle.
Hmmm u forget how fucking cold they are, as well as there potentially being hard/sharp rocks, weeds to get your feet tangled in. Not denying there are many far easier ways of kicking the bucket, but it aint impossible, especially if the person in question is frail or has an illness of some kind. They could also panic if they cant swim and start splashing around and put themselves in more bother.
This reminds me of the BBC’s Marple. It’s a murder mister show, so folks die every episode, and so many of them die by being pushed into a still pond on a warm day. In one case just wading into a pond.
You're not perceiving the picture correctly, the stub-looking thing on the left for docking is around a foot high. The side of the canal is at least 4 feet and the middle at least 7 feet deep. Mobile camera lens do not give adequate perception, as such, like with taking a photo of the moon.
