A reminder to leave a negative review for the apps that force you to use google play services or completely don't work on custom android ROM's.

There are many reasons to use a custom ROM and not a single reason to respond to your customer like that. Although their customers are banks and governments, so they couldn't care less about the actual users.
On one hand fuck them for being anti consumer and on the other hand you got cooked.

0.001 % of 50 million (random example country population) is 500. So yes, it is roughly correct on the national level. How many officials do you want at that level?
Pretty sure they meant billionaires, since they tend to have disproportionate power for "democracies" and they do regardless of who's in power

I don't think you have to, I believe Google play services has an SMS auto verification thingy that can basically do this for you in the background. Google play services needs SMS access for it but...well it has that on stock roms
