Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

Trans people existing is subversive because it is an extremely high expression of freedom and challenges fundamental concepts about our world. If someone can change their gender, what else can we change? Capitalism? Politicians?

[–] Cosmonauticus@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Nah. They're just a boogeyman conservatives use to scare WASPs. If it wasn't them it'd be some other group

[–] LadyButterfly@reddthat.com 5 points 1 day ago

It's also an excuse to go after the lgbt community and other subjagated groups

[–] AnalogHole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 1 day ago

Hard disagree. The Nazis did it too and they already had their boogeypeople. Its about control.

[–] benjirenji@slrpnk.net 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Sounds like trans people are an indicator species.

[–] thethunderwolf@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 1 day ago (2 children)

i am anti american (i see the us system and current us gov as very bad)

i am radically pro transgender (i think people should have the freedom to disobey religion and control their body, and am willing to fight hard)

i am transgender (recognize in myself that i am not what people forced me to be)

anarchism is among the ideologies i mostly agree with (alongside socialism and communism)

i am a terrorist >:3

fight me, pigs

I'm pro-America, but anti-American establishment, anti-colonialist, anti-capitalist, and...well fuck, I might as well be anti-American at this point by their definition.

anti-American, radically pro-transgender, and anarchist.

Yup, that's Lemmy, all right!

Counterterrorism used to mean stopping crazies from blowing shit up or killing innocent people in the United States. Now it means targeting minorities. Which gives actual terrorists free reign to attack on US soil.

Even if Trump is a Russian agent he couldn't do more damage than he's already doing.

It never really did. It always meant crushing any opposition.

[–] NikkiDimes@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

It's literally always been about targeting minorities...

[–] MajorasTerribleFate@lemmy.zip 18 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Jesus that man looks like he was invited to NO parties and he is going to attack the people he thinks are responsible for that.

He also committed firearm charges and needs to go to prison.

It's like Nazism and McCarthyism fucked and had a creepy, evil, disgusting baby.

[–] ZombiFrancis@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 day ago

That's what incest tends to produce.

[–] WoodScientist@lemmy.world 15 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Or you know, just Nazism. Trans people were some of the first victims in the Holocaust.

[–] katkit@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago

Berlin of the 20s was probably the most liberal place for queer people in the west. Dr. Magnus Hirschfeld founded the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft and wrote the first paper on trans identities, gave people counseling, hormones and recommended surgeons.

He was able to decriminalise homosexuality and have trans people allowed to present "sex non-conforming" in public if they had a slip from him.

The Nazis used this for culture wars and promise a return to the golden time of tradition and morality.

His institute was raided in the first book burning, thousand of scientific papers are lost forever, his patients hunted down. He managed to flee to France.

It's important to treat his persona critically though, because as a scientist of his time, he also adopted some problematic stances on eugenics and racial teachings. On the other hand, he was also one of the few that criticised the rigor of the science behind those teachings from time to time.

"Terrorizing people now counter-terrorism."

[–] SnarkoPolo@lemmy.world 20 points 2 days ago (2 children)

On our way to a more, well, final solution.

[–] LadyButterfly@reddthat.com 4 points 1 day ago

THANK YOU. That is where this shit ends if you don't fucking stop it

This isn't about terrorism, it's about silencing the opposition.
