Just a reminder that the raid on Waco was about more than modified and stockpiled guns, but it was also about David Koresh raping little girls. So as bad as the three letter apes are, still better than pedos.
Also, I just want to point out how impotent all those guns were when it came time to oppose the government. Some of you 2nd-brained people should study that.
I mean, on day 1 they killed like 4 of the ATF guys. Shot them THROUGH the walls.
Only reason there weren't more casualties on the ATF side, is because they immediately backed off after that and stayed several dozen yards back. Hard to aim at a target you can't see, through walls, 70 yards away.
Not that I'm defending them. I'm just saying that yes, their guns WERE lethal, and they DID hold the government agents at bay. That siege went on 24/7 for like 3-4 months. It only ended when David Koresh just started killing everybody inside the compound, and burning everything.
I feel like it was the hostages, and not the guns that kept them at bay. If there weren't white children in the compound and the government was allowed to play by the rules it does in the middle east in regards to acceptable civilian casualties, everyone in that compound would've been dead in an hour.
If that compound had no guns and they were armed with just knives the government would still hold off on raiding it since they would have to shoot people inside tight corridors where the possibility for civilian casualties is high.
They killed almost all the kids after torturing all of them for weeks. If it was a pedophile investigation, why was the ATF solely handling it prior to the FBI taking over due to death. Not saying David wasn't a pedophile or shouldn't have been killed but you're using a lot of strange logic to try and dunk on 2A. As well as defending the actions these goons took when they LITERALLY TORTURED AND MURDERED 82 humans including 28 children. No they didn't rape them first, that doesn't make what they did/how they did it okay or justified.

They took em down by torturing and killing the kids. It should have been shut down FULL STOP. My problem was the method by which they shut them down and intitial reason for the ATF investigation (had zero to do with pedophilia). As stated in other comments though, I think the leader was a pedophile and should have been prosecuted.
America would have been better off if Waco was the start of hundreds of similar raids on the pedophile cult compounds around the country, regardless of how poorly and unethically executed they were. Christian nationalism and extreme cult behavior is a blight on this nation that needed/needs to be eradicated, and neglecting their very real threat is leading to the nation's demise.
Hard disagree. They literally killed almost all the kids lmao. Hate Christians as much as you want, that's a right I support you having. Hate whoever you want why ever you want. But setting the precedent that you abolish religious groups by any means necessary (like prolonged torture and firebombing) will absolutely not lead to good outcomes or a good state. Giving Carte Blanche to eradicate groups of suspected behavior like that is how you end up with a whole lot of innocent deaths. To be clear, I believe he was a pedophile and should have individually been prosecuted along with many of the adults who went along with it. I don't think a multi month torture session followed by firebombing was the right move. Advocating for more like it is wild.
