How funny would it be if Trump bans guns cause of all the assassination attempts

[–] CMDR_Horn@lemmy.world 23 points 6 days ago (2 children)

Doubt he'll do it. Level III BA will make him look even bigger under his suit

[–] NoForwadSlashS@piefed.social 15 points 6 days ago

With his normal stance I imagine l he would just topple over like a sack of potatoes.

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 17 points 6 days ago

Three legitimate attempts? Don't lie to me, now. These look like bad theatre.

[–] mr_account@lemmy.world 16 points 6 days ago (1 children)

But that might make him look fat

[–] dream_weasel@sh.itjust.works 13 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

How about a bulletproof diaper instead and one of those little hats with a propeller on it.

[–] Bwaz@lemmy.world 7 points 6 days ago

How about a gag and muzzle instead?

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 6 points 6 days ago

It's because he is so loved and respected.

[–] MedicPigBabySaver@lemmy.world 8 points 6 days ago

I'm really not a conspiracy guy, but, I don't believe any of the attempts were legit.

It will just be onw of those lead aprons they gice you when doing xrays at the dentist.

[–] TryingToBeGood@reddthat.com 9 points 6 days ago (4 children)

I just assumed all presidents wear them.

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 6 points 5 days ago

If he's wearing one, it protects against pistols at most. If you want to stop a rifle round, you need plates. This guy is not going to be carrying around that much weight in plates all the time. He can't even walk on his own as is.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 4 points 6 days ago

They do, since Reagan.

[–] Truscape@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Teddy Roosevelt famously only needed his speech booklet (he continued to give his speech after being shot by a would-be assassin).

Reagan also was shot by a .22LR rifle (which he initially didn't notice) without a vest on.

Usually the Secret Service is enough though. You usually aren't getting close enough to the president outside of ceremonial/public event circumstances unless you have "Yankee White" clearance anyway (You'd be detained before getting within a few blocks of them).

[–] pennomi@lemmy.world 4 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I’m shocked no one has tried the explosive drone technique. Even active war zones have trouble containing those, let alone a couple block perimeter.

[–] plz1@sh.itjust.works 3 points 6 days ago

They have countermeasures in place for drones in "no fly" air space. And that air space is a moving box around him.

[–] Malyca@lemmy.zip 1 points 6 days ago

They probably wear kevlar or some shit, that will do fuck all

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 5 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Guess it could be a headshot.

[–] Dasus@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

The first one was literally inches away. Had the wind been different, who knows...

[–] Fredselfish@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

That one was 1000% setup. Hell his secret service watch the guy and even had him in their scopes for over 40 minutes. They sent that kid to his death. Gun probably was full of blanks.

[–] Dasus@lemmy.world -2 points 5 days ago (3 children)

Weird blanks which leave these sort of red marks.

Or did Trump have a bloodpack hidden in his very thin hair?

[–] njm1314@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago (2 children)

Show me a bullet wound. Show me a scar. Show me a medical report. No? None of those exist? How odd.

Oh I'm sorry I was just waiting on you. You said you were going to try to answer a question but you haven't done it yet so just take as much time as you need.

By the way your comment is addressed to me and not other people right? If I recall you have trouble with the meaning of the second person singular so I just want to make sure you're using it the way I think you're using it.

[–] Dasus@lemmy.world -1 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Oh, some kid I've humiliated with a grudge, lol.

See I can come back to the thread because I can actually back up the things I say and love arguing people like you who are only lying to themselves.

Why do you change the subject and talk about another thing you're wrong in and can't defend? People have explained at length to you that modern American/global English doesn't use a second person singular. English uses a second person plural as the second person singular. But that's not the only English that exists, just because it's the only one you're aware of, lol.

So thee won't be addressing the photographs thee asked for then? Because thee is utterly pathetic? ;>

Wyaa wyaaa prove a thing so I can then pretend I didn't see it wyaaa wyaaa wyaah and then I can shift the goalposts wyaaaah and then poopy in my diapey wyaaah and then have a grudge about not knowing the basics of linguistics wyaaaah

Is it tough being you? Do you have someone to talk to? I myself have an excellent therapist. Proper English bloke. I'd suggest you'd try to find yourself one but I don't think you could afford it even if you accepted it would be good for you. :(

[–] njm1314@lemmy.world 1 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

There it is. That's the completely demented unhinged psychotic response I was expecting.

[–] Dasus@lemmy.world 0 points 21 hours ago* (last edited 21 hours ago)

And more projection. I still note that you're refusing to even theorise what actually happened. Did I make those photos? Did the internet fake them? All of the video and photos of this shooting are fake?

What really happened then, pray tell, oh wise master!

You're fucking hilarious bro

Ps you can't argue the linguistic issue you tried to switch to either, pathetic

[–] Dasus@lemmy.world -2 points 5 days ago

I zoomed in a bit to help you.

Now I tried answering one of your questions. Could you answer me why you don't believe someone could take a shot at a deranged demented selfish cunt of a president who lost the popular vote, is almost certainly a pedophile, is a convicted criminal, is preceded by four dead presidents on the job and several which were assassinated outside their era and many more who tried being assassinated, in a country literally packed to the brim with firearms?

And then please tell me what the benefit of arranging it would be for Trump*s government. Then look up the mathematical formula of how many people can be in ona secret so it lasts x years. https://phys.org/news/2016-01-equation-large-scale-conspiracies-quickly-reveal.html

I'm open-minded and seems the most obvious solution is someone tried offing a cunt. What's your explanation (that will in no way respect or even recognise Occam's razor) for all that happened and how?

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

It definitely wasn't blanks. They killed a person behind him. However, that doesn't mean it was legit either. Apparently in wrestling, to sell them getting hurt, they sometimes sneak away and cut themselves with razorblades so they bleed. With Trump's background, I wouldn't be surprised at all if he got the technique from that.

He ducks behind the podium and comes up with this scratch. Did he have it before or did he create it? We can't know, and there's enough oddities that I question it being real. For example, they had someone that seemed to be perfectly calm, who directed photographers into two set positions, to capture his image with the flag behind him. It all seems very odd.

[–] Dasus@lemmy.world -1 points 5 days ago

Oh yes. Sleight of hand and doing anything to hurt himself are two strengths of mister Trump. And by gods he loves doing it going by the whole in his ear. Also you can see from the length of the blood spatters he violently turned his head with such speed that the drops left those long marks. Luckily Trump isn't one of those people who worry about himself. Definitely just cut himself for PR purposes.

[–] Fredselfish@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago (2 children)

He never got shot in the ear. If you believe that I have a bridge to sell you.

[–] Dasus@lemmy.world 0 points 20 hours ago

So, what actually happened?

Please explain, in detail.

[–] Dasus@lemmy.world -2 points 5 days ago

Ofc he didn't. Because everyone loves him, there's no public assassination in the US, and it just makes so much more sense that it was a highly organised super secret conspiracy from the current US government, because they're just so capable.

Ofc. It's obvious. I'm with you. 100 000%.

[–] CovfefeKills@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago

Aren't his suits bulletproof? Obama and Joe's suits were bulletproof.

[–] bad_news@lemmy.billiam.net 2 points 5 days ago

All these "failed assassinations" are so overtly staged
