A robot dog with the head of Elon Musk that was part of an art installation at Miami Art Basel in December was seen prancing around San Francisco on Wednesday, as part of a promo for an upcoming art show.

If I saw this I would stomp it's stupid face

I normally don't condone kicking dogs, but.

If that fucker became President, I could see this happening. We'd have these shitty robot dogs and robot humanoids with his head on em. Instead of Skynet, we'd get Xnet or Musknet, some stupid thing like that.

Yes it does. There are videos on Instagram.

It can lift the front right leg. That's pretty much the only thing it can do aside from walking.

This is the real Futurama. We'll never be rid of these people. They'll just put their heads on robot dogs and have their post apocalyptic slaves serve them.

JK but this is seriously unsettling but that was probably what the artist was going for so props to them?

The fact they made the whole thing flesh colored and not just the head makes it so much worse somehow...

[–] PorradaVFR@lemmy.world 8 points 4 months ago

Wow.

Almost as creepy and synthetic as the real thing. That's saying something.

Has it smashed up all of the bus stops yet?

Now I'd never normally be in favor of kicking dogs, not even robot ones; however...

Art, doesn’t it make you reflect on things?

[–] Blackfeathr@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago (1 children)

As someone who makes art, yes.

This is just...mildly distressing?

[–] nightwatch_admin@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago

Hoo boi do you have a liberal definition of “mildly”.

This would encourage me to avoid that “art show” at all costs.
