it's a small community on Lemmy, there isn't currently as much of a need to split out into separate communities - maybe there will eventually be enough t4t traction and need to split out into a separate community, but until then just chatting with people in the main trans communities is probably your best bet (as well as joining the Matrix servers)

Matrix servers????
Matrix is an open standard for secure, decentralized, real-time communication. Think of it as an open protocol for messaging, similar to how email works - anyone can run their own server, and all servers can communicate with each other.

I personally recommend using Element as a client.
The Blahaj Zone provides a public Matrix server you can join (see the sidebar), here's the link for convenience: https://matrix.to/#/#blahaj:chat.blahaj.zone

Lex is a queer community app that is like a location based bulletin. It shows you posts from a radius you set. Talk about whatever you want, and if people can engage with you about it.
Dating apps that are friendly for queer people. I used bumble and found someone I currently go on dates with. But other than that local trans meet up(if your city is big enough to have one).
Some interesting ideas: Warhammer, Magic tournament.
I have a whole bunch of paranoia about using american dating apps with the current admin in charge 🫤
FetLife?
Too.. sexualized.
I think most people read "t4t" and think sex, fwiw - it's literally language from hookup culture
It can be, I found my friends/partners there but I get it reputation.
yeah, honestly unless you're into remote relationships, t4t probably should be local and I'm sure there are a bunch of dating apps for that kind of thing
Fetlife is mostly a good way of linking in with the local kink community, which tends to be full of queer, nerdy, neurodivergent folks. Culture may vary by area. But fetlife is mostly good for finding out what kink events are near you, so its probably not a bad option
There's a T4T app that I used to find another trans woman 10 minutes from my house in a very rural and red area, and we play trrpgs together now.
Looks like it requires logging in with either a google or apple account. I like to separate that kind of stuff from tracking. It's all ib public but takes a lot more effort to track without it directly linked to your whole advertising identity, IMHO.
Which is....?? 😂
"T4T"
Ahaha thanks!
