So he is building his own Fuhrer bunker.

[–] raman_klogius@ani.social 209 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Ah, so the headline is worded wrong.

He's not seething, he's führerious!

[–] TribblesBestFriend@startrek.website 72 points 3 weeks ago (3 children)

And we all know what he did last in his bunker

Made his best artwork ever!

I mean just consider the dedication needed to make a pièce de résistance right as the Red Army is almost at the doors, using nothing but the raw concrete walls of the Führerbunker as canvas, his trusty Walther PPK as brush, and his own grey matter as paint... I'd dare say it's the most consequential piece of art of the 20th and maybe even the 21st century. It's a shame it was destroyed.

I was hoping he'd skip this part and go to the final one directly, but it is a step in the right direction.

[–] daannii@lemmy.world 12 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Let's just go ahead and give him that gun with two bullets.

Stargate data center. Oracle hardware running Grok to spy on everyone. The White house already has an underground bunker of that sort.

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 11 points 3 weeks ago

It's more like a Führer rape dungeon, knowing the Epstein files.

Sure sounds like someone who is making plans to stay in office past this term.

[–] W3dd1e@lemmy.zip 43 points 3 weeks ago

He go in bunker, we weld shut from the outside. Everybody win!

[–] plyth@feddit.org 17 points 3 weeks ago (3 children)

Or he is preparing for somebody who is coming after him.

[–] idiomaddict@lemmy.world 11 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I think he deadass plans on holing himself up in a secret bunker and getting McDonald’s delivered every night. I bet his cover story would be something like a secret daily ritual and it wouldn’t even occur to him that the new president might keep in friendly enough contact with previous presidents to compare notes.

God is Dead. USA is a rotting corpse.

Regular people should be taking advantage of the worlds disorder right now. Reclaim humanity.

Billionaires and their companies...

If only Iran would start going after the companies supporting data centers and the tech bro dependencies.

[–] 1dalm@lemmy.today 65 points 3 weeks ago (4 children)

Is anyone surprised? I mean, did you guys think it was really a $300 million dollar ballroom?

[–] ptz@dubvee.org 170 points 3 weeks ago

Is anyone surprised?

Yeah, kinda. I assumed it was a $90 million ballroom with the remaining $210 million being funneled to cronies.

[–] celeste@kbin.earth 52 points 3 weeks ago

I thought he was pocketing it

[–] artyom@piefed.social 9 points 3 weeks ago (9 children)

Have you seen the room where he does press conferences?

After big tech hurled money at him we should have all automatically assumed there's an underground datacenter in the works there.

[–] redsand@infosec.pub 24 points 3 weeks ago

And the major power upgrades the city is doing, architect change, sponsors, military consultants, footprint, etc...

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 10 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

I guess I still don't get why a datacenter would make any sense to put there?

We figured this out months ago, but the media didn't report it at all. It was never about the ballroom, always the bunker underneath.

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 10 points 3 weeks ago

Fuck the new billionairre media.

The cost keeps increasing. That's hilarious.

But of course he was building a bunker. There's literally no surprises there. It'll be the new den of rape for sure.

[–] ExLisper@lemmy.curiana.net 28 points 3 weeks ago (3 children)

This won't be finished in time for him to use it so I guess someone else is pushing for the bunker and they decided to put a ballroom on top to get his approval.

[–] megopie@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Or perhaps the contractors involved are giving him or his associates kickbacks from a construction scam, so, it doesn’t need to be finished ever for him to benefit.

I absolutely would have known nothing about the military complex but for Trump opening his big mouth about it repeatedly.

Knowledgeable people are aware that any construction at the White House also involves fortifications and bunkers.

[–] immobile7801@piefed.social 23 points 3 weeks ago (3 children)

I honestly thought there was already a bunker under the WH. Too many movies I guess.

[–] FordBeeblebrox@lemmy.world 16 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

There absolutely is along with some of the best medical facilities in the world and more food and weapons than anywhere else nearby, they just tend to put POTUS on AF1 to stay mobile during duress but that place is a fortress on top of a bunker fortress.

That's for war, this one is for child rape.

It's not a bunker, it's a data center. Just a hardened one.

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 16 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

At least we can hope the nukes won't fly until the bunker is done so we have at least 3-4 years to change something.

Pfff. He would have posted pics of it himself eventually.

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 15 points 3 weeks ago (8 children)

Probably would've scurried into it when he loses the 2028 run

[–] ChonkyOwlbear@lemmy.world 10 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Good. We can seal the doors, cut the power, and leave him and his cronies to rot in there forever.

[–] Bahnd@lemmy.world 13 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Quickly Mr. President, help me bring the guests to your fancy ballroom a cask of amontillado we keep in the secret bunker.

Hey look at that. That one dude that posted the stuff here 6 months ago or so about the designs and plans and mentioned how all of the donors were related to people that are doing underground data centers and stuff like that for Israel are the same group that are working on this with none of the other people that should be involved with ballrooms like Tiffany and stuff like that being associated.

America chose fascism. And you're surprised when fascists act like fascists?

[–] 7101334@lemmy.world 11 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (2 children)

America is fascism, just ask the indigenous people deprived of their land and life, the piles of dead buffalo slaughtered as part of accomplishing the American genocide, and the dead slaves. This isn't America acting like Nazis, Nazis acted like Americans - Hitler was directly inspired by how we treated migrants at the southern border.

But yeah, while we're on the topic anyway...

The Vorbunker (upper bunker or forward bunker) was an underground concrete structure originally intended to be a temporary air-raid shelter for Adolf Hitler and his guards and servants. It was located behind the large reception hall that was added onto the old Reich Chancellery, in Berlin, Germany, in 1936.

(Note that quote says "located behind", which makes it sound above-ground, but it was an underground bunker).

Hitler Bunker

[–] Itdidnttrickledown@lemmy.world 9 points 3 weeks ago

If there is two things trump is a expert on its stupid and lawsuit. Its just one thing with him though.

[–] Bubs12@lemmy.cafe 8 points 3 weeks ago (4 children)

Building a bunker at the White House is probably the most useful and appropriate allocations of funds Trump has done.

It’s a low bar, as they say.
