Lucky, I'm in CO and all I got was some lousy clouds and rain. I even set a reminder and got up at 4am for it :(

Hello, fellow Coloradan!

Gooooooodamnit. I set an alarm for noon today to remind me of the blood moon on the 3rd.
I stayed up until almost 4am to take my own shots (Southern California) as I've done in the past.
Cloud cover was fine until about 2:45. Then it was nearly 100%. I kept checking to see if I could spot anything until 3:40. Nope.
Fuck.
Crazy well made picture!
So obviously this is an amazing photo, I love it, and I love the fact a human used a camera to take this... but what's to stop someone just throwing a gradient on top of a stock photo of the moon and calling it a day?
I mean, nothing. If someone wanted to do that, they could.
And I am sure we will start seeing more and more AI being passed off as real pics as the technology improves. It’s sad.
