It illustrates the rise of smartphones if nothing else. Even those manufacturers that don't include Chrome as the default browser on Android use a modified version for their own "proprietary" browser.

If that was a big reason i feel like i would expect to see Safari growing more as well since iphones are a huge part of the market share.

iPhone has 30% global market share. Losing another 15% to desktop users, most especially business users who will have chrome required by their IT department makes perfect sense

I had no idea Firefox was that big 17 years ago and also fell that badly to where it is today... I think I switched to chrome around 2009 for a few years since firefox had some awful bugs but then i came back after chrome kept hogging all my resources. Sadly with all the talk of AI and FF supporting it I have been on the lookout for something new to try. Crazy how little there is, but I think I wanna try out Ladybird when it actually releases this summer.
