Fun fact: ctrl+Z does the same thing as u but in 4 more keystrokes because afterwards you have to type fg then press u. :3

:x does the same thing as :wq but in one less keystroke :3
It just doesn't feel right though does it? And why are we here if not for the feels?
Huh, neat. Thanks!
Or just do this: ZZ
I find it to be a bit faster than :x
Huh, I didn't know that. Neat!
Fun fact: Ctrl+C (usually) does the same thing as the escape key, but requires way less hand movement
That's why you remap your caps lock key to esc!
I like my caps lock as a compose key
Ctrl + [ also becomes Esc on most terminal emulators
Get Undotree, thank me later 🙂
Whoa, where has this been all my life?
Actually, the important part is undofile and undodir https://vi.stackexchange.com/q/6/59482
Pair it with a high undolevel and undoreload, now you'll never taste the tears of regret
Except me yesterday when my vim kept hanging on insert and then printing a bunch of errors from the undotree script. I had to empty my undodir to get it to play nice again. Not sure what happened there!
A fair price to pay for not going with noob options like VS code 🥲
Neovim has been my primary IDE for years, welcome to the vimclub :-)
