Good thing we've all seen the video from multiple angles. Should be enough to convict.
Arrest them, let them bring all that evidence as defence?
It's almost like they're covering up for a crime. Or 10.
FBI goes in and takes over cases all the time from local authorities. Considering this involved Federal Law Enforcement it makes sense FBI is lead.
This isn’t new by any stretch of the imagination.
Taking a case is different from outright barring state authorities from accessing evidence.
See the Luigi Mangione case for an example of state having free access to evidence even in a federal case... Feds don't seem to have any trouble with sharing evidence there.
