Use a search engine, a tradesperson, Reddit, friends, a specialist Facebook group, apps, Wikipedia, an AI chat, a reverse image search etc. to answer simple questions or identify objects. Also see rule 1, “comment baiting”.
There are a number of content specific communities with subject matter experts who can help you.

7. Proofread before posting. Use good grammar and punctuation. Avoid useless phrases. Some examples: - starting a post with "So" - starting a post with pointless phrases, like "I hope this is allowed" or “this is my first post” Only share good quality, cropped images. Do not share screenshots of images; share the original image.

My previous pile of wood has reached its maximum height I think:
On @redlemace@lemmy.world's advice, I stacked the new pile in a criss-cross pattern. It certainly is more compact and more stable, but also finding adequately-sized logs to make the pile grow straight is a somewhat OCD exercise that I don't care that much for.
Also, my pile doesn't look as nice as in other people's photos 🙂 But hey, it's functional.

I dont know what niche post i stumbled, but personally i use the criss-cross only at the end of the pile, because its does not topple as easy and stack the between part straight because its easier pick the firewood when they are all pointing in to same direction and you can fit more of them that way.
Also if there are some pieces that are shorter/longer or have branches or anything unusual i stackt them all in to one end.
Agreed, that's how it was meant. However, brother in law stacks like that too. Pretty neat and stable and more work too ;)

That's a bit odd to me. I want the end to be as stable as possible, therefore logs as uniform as i can pick them.
They all are on the one side so i get rid of them first and after that the stack is as solid as it can be.
Edit; Also you should clean some ice from under the airconditioner.

My brother in law stacks like that too. I'd only do that -in that image- for the left side and the rest as your first stack. With the exterior wall, the right side has no where to go.

Do the various stacking methods affect how the wood dries or burns? I have it stuck in my head from somewhere that stacking with that cross pattern is better for letting the logs get and stay dried out.
This stacked right by the house? I’ve been told that’s a good way for termites to find a good snack but then stay for the full course meal. Best to put that out in a shed or tarped over far away from the house.

No wind, but plenty of diamond dust this year. It hasn't snowed in 4 weeks, yet I have to clear the driveway every 3 days just because of the diamond dust.
On the plus side, this happens with diamond dust:

None. I used a Ricoh Theta X 360 camera.
How did you remove yourself from the image?

There are two solutions to remove yourself from the picture:
1/ Take two photos - one with you standing at the front, the other with you standing on the side, then in your favorite image editor, paste the empty spot in the one you stand on the side over your image standing in front. That requires a tripod obviously, as the two photo's POVs must be strictly identical.
2/ Set a 10-second timer and go hide. Or use a bluetooth remote and take the shot after you're hidden. What's what I did with this one: I was behind the big fir tree behind the camera. The two-photo trick is really only when there's nowhere to hide.
Brilliant! I actually have an old Ricoh laying around that I've never used. I think you may be the inspiration I needed to get it out!
