Imagine describing somefile that you were downloading, like lemmy.zip and having it linkified because that's technically a valid web address.
All these new fangled TLDs, they seem to be bad ideas. But on the other hand, we do need new domains...
I noticed .Microsoft is a valid TLD recently. That felt wrong

They made it easier to blackhole DNS lookups: *.microsoft is way easier than enumerating azure.com, msdn.com , live.net, etc
in this case it's automatically turning a message into a link that was a terrible idea...
The worst part is that you know she doesn't understand what happened, and thinks her grandson "sent" her the preview.
