Doesn't load for me (browsing in Firefox on macOS).

Anyway, YSK that a lot of stations blocked this ad by playing local ads over it.

They did play the pro-Israel one, though.

Hey, they are at least consistently being pieces of shit.

My husband was watching it on Hulu and didn’t see the ad. It’s possible he just missed it, I’d love if someone could corroborate.

@ickplant @cerebralhawks Different ads get shown on different platforms and markets. I didn't see the #50Cent #Doordash #SuperBowl ad until today.

[–] ickplant@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

That makes sense but damn, you’d think that specific ad would be shown everywhere. So sad.

Would Hulu show all the ads? With broadcast, local affiliates are able to replace certain ads with local ads, which is why if you watch the Super Bowl (or anything else syndicated), you will see local ads among national ones. Streaming usually skips them, but the Super Bowl is kind of "special" in that some people watch for the ads.

Does the media load on your app?

Are you using Jerboa for Android?

If the other guy is using Voyager also, it may be a problem with this Lemmy client.

[–] azezeB@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 3 weeks ago

Loading on jerboa for me too, so I guess it's indeed a client problem for them

I'm using Voyager, and it didn't load. It's a semi-frequent issue for me, but I don't care so much personally. Still, hope they sort it out.

AFAIK Voyager for iOS is the most popular mobile client.

I was able to load it on Voyager, but I know sound was kinda finicky recently and wouldn’t turn on. I’ve been trying Mlem recently, because I wanted to switch to Piefed, and I think the app handles media a lot better. There’s some features missing that Voyager has, but Mlem is super polished looking, and has its own solid feature set.

I am and it loaded.
