I'm halfway the whole story (chapter 26 I think) and every time there's story updates (either main story or main lore events) I want to just watch them on YouTube.

No need for YouTube. You can read the story via Story mode in-game.

It significantly reduces the difficulty of battles, IIRC, but there are not the rewards you get from Normal.or Hard. So you can progress the story past where you may be stuck at in Normal. If I recall correctly, that is. I have never used this mode, but the developers explained it once.
