Don't confuse mass scale propaganda, cover up, and distraction as insecurities, it may be both but discounting it as just insecurities is dangerous.
Every lost election is "rigged"
Because he tries to rig elections and sometimes succeeds.
Every embarrassing fact is "fake news"
Because he puts out lies as news that are embarrassing to his enemies

Because scientific truths don't make him money. Raping the environment, etc. makes him money

He's been paying people to show up at his events for decades. Not all, but a lot. Take the Melania movie for example.

I always thought that 1984 was a hyperbolic alegory for a dictatorial police state, yet here we are.
He said 2016 was rigged even though he won. It’s not a fragile ego. It’s a fascist dictator. He knows the vote is legit, but if he can convince enough people to side with him, it’s gonna make the whole dictator thing much easier.
