I'm not a die hard Fallout show lover, especially with how they've kind of made it so none of your choices in the game mattered. But I gotta say... this scene was very hype. Exactly the kind of thing I wanted to see when they said season 2 would be set in New Vegas.

Some people say that sniper is the courier. There was a SHIT TON of fan service in the last two episodes. And I'm hopeful that the legion doesn't follow them to Colorado, as it wouldn't make sense. Also I hope they stay there because there's too many open threads. If they stay there, it closes one.

Why wouldn't the Legion be there? Colorado was an area where they had influence/conquered during New Vegas. I'm guessing they'll cannibalize a couple things from Van Burren like the New Vegas devs did, and in that case Legion will definitely play a role in the area. If they have something the Legion wants, they can likely send people after them.

After a civil war? Sending people that far? And the resurgence of the NCR? It simply wouldn't make sense logistically. Plus dude mentioned that New Vegas was holy land. No need to go beyond that.

I suspect it's going to work out the way you say, with them not straying too far towards Colorado.

While I felt the moment was earned and made a lot of sense, I still impulsively cringed when it happened. I feel icky whenever nostalgia bait is put front and center even if it's done well. I felt similarly about the "Big Iron" scene in episode 1. It made a lot of sense and was well done, but it was too on the nose for my tastes. Thankfully, everything else was done fairly well with the finale.

This is mainly what's been irking me about the show. Lots of things we know to keep us watching.

It sucks bc so many of the references feel far more natural, especially in the first season. Like yes, they had recognizable Fallout stuff, but that's just the setting. This season had way more "Leo pointing meme" moments because it was a location the games visited recently.

I enjoyed that one too, but I understand. Tbh I think this season could have been better if they never decided to take it to New Vegas, preferred the more standalone nature of season 1
