Get into hoarding mode. I’m downloading and storing on drives if it’s something I want to watch a lot. It’s been so frequent lately of sites getting shut down

This is why They want to drive up the cost of computer hardware to be unaffordable. Then They win.

[–] Marshezezz@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 2 months ago

I already have hard drives and only buy used ones on eBay

[–] darcmage@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Well shit. There goes my main anime nzb source.

[–] themachinestops@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Yea it was the best place for NZB. Is there any alternative?

[–] darcmage@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago

Private indexers get most of the popular releases so that'll have to do until something better comes along.

They hope release some of code. And db dump. Hopefully successor can be made. The sub extract and sub list search was fucking amazing to find german.

o7 fucking legend

They stated they will provide the database and the code is on github.

Damnit, the search begins for a replacement

I got qbitnox running and am using rss for torrents for now (I just use subaplease feed) my main nzb indexer gets some releases already but I haven't checked if it's just the ones from tosho uploads only since they look like the most common up loader to high speed. Anime. If it's mainstream sonarr will probably work fine. It does for Netflix anime so far and some Hulu ones

Hi10Anime provides DDL (their own, not third parties) and has very good, space-efficient encodes

[–] issas@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Do they have multisub options?

[–] Kissaki@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Depends on the release. They're mainly an EN release group. Occasionally, there's multi-dub and multi-sub releases, especially on BD releases.

Taking a peek at AniDB you can get an overview of varaince and frequency.

What is a DDL?

I'm satisfied with anicli & HakuNeko so far but maybe there is better?

[–] Devnullit@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Direct download, think storage services like mega

[–] MEtrINeS@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 2 months ago

Understandable reasons. Thanks Anime Tosho for your contribution! You'll be missed!

[–] issas@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 months ago

Man, I'll miss their DL options for new releases + the multi-sub releases. It's not hard to find DL, but generally they are English-only. Not a big fan of using torrent for single episodes

[–] Kissaki@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 months ago

Unfortunate not to see any handover. At the same time, that's a good thing as well. A clear end, and people will have to reevaluate alternatives instead of possibly being pushed and shifted without notice into worse service or worse.

Although it's a relatively short notice of three months, they do provide a lot of information and data. A very fair, if not great, exit strategy.

I'm going to miss the torrent RSS feature... Any other sites have these?

spoilerNo I'm not going to permanently set aside hundreds of MBs of my ram to run arrs on a docker.

[–] raman_klogius@ani.social 1 points 2 months ago

Ah, found the option. Guess I haven't noticed it since AT's were much better with the series filter. Sadly good things must end... (。•́︿•̀。)

[–] Devnullit@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Can I ask what torrent rss client you use? I use nzb almost exclusively and deluge is headless so the rss plugin won't work as it needs gtk ui

[–] MaggiWuerze@feddit.org 1 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Not op, but qbittorrent has RSS integration

[–] raman_klogius@ani.social 2 points 2 months ago

Am op, that's correct.

[–] Devnullit@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago

Thanks! Will checkout the nox variant
