It must be a little frustrating knowing there are potential missed signals and if they started that 21-year effort again, they'd have a better chance of detection with today's personal computer technology. And at the end of those 21 years, if they started again with 2046 personal computer technology...

It's also frustrating that society allows infinite resources for AI illustrations with six fingers, but restricts scientific research.

I find the whole AI debate to be very confusing.

Does what we see which is that AI is next to useless. Then there's what we get told by Nobel prize winning scientists which is that AI is going to kill us all. Personally I doubt it, but we can always hold out hope.

I had this running on a vast number of machines in work, with permission, including the only HP-UX machine I've ever come across in my life.
