Literally who is their target market at this point.

Is it left leaning liberals who want an ev? Because musk ruined that

Is it right wing truck drivers? Because they made so much oil propaganda that they think an ev will only make it 4 miles before needing a charge and that only pussies drive them.

Is it the average consumer? Because there are many other better evs on the market now.

Confused people

[–] HumbleExaggeration@feddit.org 4 points 1 month ago

None of them. That's why he is now trying to build robots...

[–] veeesix@lemmy.ca 22 points 1 month ago

Surely we can do better than that in 2026.

Profits fall, but stock price goes up. Because profits fell less than expected. Memestock.

Fantastic news!

It's funny. When those dumbass half-rendered dumpsters came out I saw them EVERYWHERE. Now it's rare to see them. It's amazing.

Remember, rare is not always good, especially on newly released fully-hyped things. It's especially awesome that the morons that bought them either came to their senses and sold it, or the piece of shit broke because it's a piece of shit.

Also see a lot in the Seattle area. Plenty of suckers in any given population center

Ah yes that reminds me.

A "sucker" is someone who supported him in 2016. A "loser" is someone who still does.

[–] GrindingGears@lemmy.ca 0 points 1 month ago (1 children)

So someone who owns a Tesla supports him automatically?

I mean if we are painting with this brush, are you also going after people who own Fords and GMs? Because they are kissing the ring pretty hard too...

[–] Soulphite@reddthat.com 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Meh, one must pick their battles. The Tesla's CEO fully backed and funded a nazi then openly hail Hitler on stage and ripped off millions of Americans all under an anti immigration administration while bring an illegal immigrant. So, yeah - that's a company I'd immediately cease to support if I didn't support any of those actions. Sure, the other companies suck too.

Ok so, as someone who lives in a different country, should immediately incur what would probably be about a $30k loss because of this? Because of Internet outrage, for a purchase I made, during a time that it looked like Donald Trump was maybe going to jail, and when the CEO of a car company was at that point making public claims that Trump confused him and he didn't like him?

I mean yeah since, the guys a donkey. I'm not buying another one. They haven't seen a cent from me since all this went down.

But I'm also not incurring a loss like this, because of the trash United States. The US has been full of enslaving white trash since like what, 1776? What's really changed here?

By the time the Cybertruck came out we knew what Elon was. This is not about all Teslas on the road. The article is, but the comment was specifically about Cybertrucks

I still see a lot of ‘em here in Austin.

[–] Powderhorn@beehaw.org 3 points 1 month ago

Feels like we had a surge of them a while back, but that's subsided in favour of Waymos.

[–] Soulphite@reddthat.com 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

That's odd for blue island... didn't think those things would have the range to come up from Nixon? But what would those boys be doing coming to Austin anyhow?

[–] SuiXi3D@fedia.io 5 points 1 month ago

There are a stupidly surprising number of fascists in this town. I blame Governor Hot Wheels.

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 5 points 1 month ago

Line go up.

[–] sanzky@beehaw.org 3 points 1 month ago
