To early for a general rule. Just one local Amtsgericht came to that ruling but I would like if that decision becomes more common. This digital only rule is so unnecessary.

I own a chip card. Works fine for me but I don't see a reason to not allow simple printed tickets as well.

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend anybody go and quote the ruling right now (unless you're very loaded like this guy)

To clarify, the only ruling that actually qualifies as a rule as in law, is one by the Gernan Federak constitutional court.

The federal courts may set precedents, that lower courts have to abide by, but courts can rule differently if they argue the need for a different ruling well
