Please tell me this cat is named "The Lord Right Honourable Sir Mittens III" or something like it.

Nope. That's my boy, Apollo.

That's a good name too!

I think so, but I'm not sure to be honest. This lady had imported four sphynxes to breed them and then decided against it and rehomed them all, so that's how we got her.

Squee

She has discovered that she can get on this shelf in my closet and there's nothing I can do about it.

I would love to buy removing the location metadata from all those photos is work :| I foster cats so I have lots.

[–] tomenzgg@midwest.social 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Does Lemmy not strip metadata automatically? Feels like the type of feature an open-source project would prioritize.

[–] eightys3v3n@lemmy.ca 5 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Maybe but I don't trust it until I've tried it and that's also some work :/

[–] HurricaneLiz@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I don't think it does, which is why I don't post my cat pics here. But... I've already posted them on reddit before I found out about metadata. Trying to do better.

[–] sukhmel@programming.dev 2 points 2 months ago

There are metadata remover apps, but it is a barrier, indeed

[–] tomenzgg@midwest.social 3 points 2 months ago

Yeah; that's totally fair. It was a genuine question; I thought I saw somewhere that it did but I may've misread.
