Who are these people who are constantly talking about cross-fit, veganism, and linux irl.
Comic Strips
Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- AI-generated comics aren't allowed.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Memers, mostly
I really don't know.
I use Arch BTW.
Yeah it's a weird joke. I saw this while scrolling after training for my next marathon, I was like that doesn't make sense at all.
Ironically, the people who talk about Linux and veganism at inappropriate times the most are folks making this exact joke.
This is so annoying I mean who the fuck cares. It's not like you found the prefect little screw in your drawer of screws on the first try. I did this twice last year.
For anyone considering running a marathon then they should know it's easy to train for it. Elite runners train with 80% of their weekly distance as easy and going 100% on that is totally ok.
So going out there, running at a comfortable/enjoyable pace is all you need as long as you're consistent. It's literally that easy. Increase weekly distance by 10% a week and do a long session ideally once per week. Long distances should also follow a 10% per week max increase to avoid injury.
So basically, you end up chilling, listening to podcasts and plodding along for a year and you end up being ready for a marathon.
One quick side note: If something feels weird in any of your tendons, just chill and take some days off and do quick warm ups before running.
I ran two half-marathons, does that mean I can say that I technically ran a marathon?
To be fair, I never experienced some linux user talking about it randomly. On the other hand, ai users are so annoying! Every time they're around, they're asking whether we saw the latest model, which one we like the most (assuming we use, as if it was a rule, and getting shocked or skeptical if we say we don't), and stuff like that
Never met a vegan who did that. It’s just that most omnis can’t differentiate between systemic criticism and personal insult.
How do you know someones a carnist? Don't worry, they'll tell you.
Yeah I haven't seen many vegan memes around here but the carnism passes without question.
Lazy op, nothing credit to the original artist.

He has an amazing Pokemon parody series.
This person literally asked about marathons though
if someone is banned from the community why does their post stay up or did they get banned for saying the n word and not the post?
Ok, so if they made good posts, but they did something bad and got banned.
Are we supposed to just un-person them? Pretend they didn't exist? What if they made actually useful posts?
Seems dumb to me.
A ban isn't "un-personing" someone, it's a temporary restriction on their engagement with one particular community, as a consequence for bad behavior. If that restriction doesn't actually happen though, it doesn't seem like a very effective consequence.
Either way, best to just follow the community rules, blend in, occasionally say what you need to, and never get too comfortable or used to any one community, or human comodity.
