I've got some ideas myself but I haven't been very happy with them. It would have to be a younger actor, otherwise Michael Imperioli (who played Chris on The Sopranos) would be damn near perfect.

Timothy Chalamet is right age and right level of pretty. I reckon he could pull it off.

Young Christian Slater would have been good.

If the movie was about him being completely blindsided by the wrongful arrest and was just unsure what was happening around him, then young Keanu Reeves would work well.
