Googly eyes will scare you once but high cholesterol will haunt u 4 lyfe

[–] Washedupcynic@lemmy.ca 22 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I'm mad that there aren't googly eyes on the silverware.

[–] antsu@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 21 hours ago

+1. If you think about it, it's kinda creepy. You have all the friendly little googly things looking at you, and then 3 tall faceless entities standing next to them.

[–] TigerAce@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 22 hours ago

Indeed. My autism triggered hard on this. After all the googly eyes on the... sugar ring thingies? in the bowl, how can you forget the silverware.

For the amount of pancakes, I'd say that's not really a lot of butter.

I was thinking the same, except it should be cut up the place in-between the individual pancakes.

I follow Paula Dean's advice when it comes to butter. And only that one subject.

You're looking at a meal almost entirely made of empty carbs and a tablespoon of butter on top is what concerns you?

[–] marcos@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

There is an egg and a glass of milk there.

You can probably drop all the rest anyway, they are not adding much. Or just keep a few pancakes.

What purpose does the second spoon serve?

[–] ICastFist@programming.dev 2 points 17 hours ago

Emotional support for the first spoon

[–] deadbeef79000@lemmy.nz 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Checkout the jug of what I assume is maple syrup.

You're probably right, though there's a nonzero chance that it's coffee because that was the closest thing to a clean mug available.

[–] deadbeef79000@lemmy.nz 2 points 1 day ago

If it was coffee it'd have non-dairy creamer (because it tastes better when it's a different color ;-)

I didn't even notice it had a pour spout until seeing this conversation!

Is that a lot of butter? I don't eat pancakes like this. Seems like as much as I might put on them if I was doing butter and strawberry jam on each one.

Also, do you just tackle those with a fork and no knife?

[–] frustrated_phagocytosis@fedia.io 27 points 1 day ago (2 children)

It's not. That's an appropriate amount of butter for a whole stack of pancakes. I'd actually add more, and I'm lactose intolerant.

[–] Zidane@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago

present me FUCK YEAH DAIRY
future me while shitting violently FUCK PAST ME

[–] Lemmyoutofhere@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

That’s an appropriate amount for one pancake.

[–] Gullible@sh.itjust.works 11 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

It seems completely proportional to a tall stack of pancake

Edit: maybe a bit light, actually. That’s like 7 pancakes tall

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 day ago

I think it's more like 4-5 pancakes. Pancakes spread on each bottom as you cook/flip them, so there's a narrower "waist" that can make one seem like two in a stack. It's still a reasonable amount of butter, and I'd use more because I'm not fond of syrup.

[–] Buddahriffic@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Pancakes are soft enough to cut with a fork.

[–] GreenKnight23@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

only plebeians eat without a knife.

[–] db2@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

It's a lot for one piece, not enough for the whole stack.

Insert a gif of the talking food from any Muppets thing. And Swedish Chef noises.

[–] BaroqueInMind@piefed.social 6 points 1 day ago

Fork and spoons are missing eyes, and so is the bowl and plate. Unnaceptavle, OP, delete this shit. /s

What's the matter, what's the matter, Martha?

[–] smuuthbrane@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 day ago

Damn, that's some happy cereal. Maybe if I eat it I can consume the happiness for myself.
