The gay sex was coming from inside the house!

I don't know how many times I've mentioned this, but there are two religious events that demonstrate God is displeased with people. Floods and plagues. There are more than that, but those are essential. If you were a Christian in 2020, COVID should have been the most obvious portent that God doesn't like the way things are going in the world.

If you actually believed in that shit, you would have dumped Trump immediately and never looked back.

But Christians don't really believe in the Bible. They believe in whatever their leaders say. They don't follow the instructions of God. They follow the instructions of corrupt preachers and politicians.

By their own standards that they usually apply to other people, but not themselves, there would be almost no Christians who have a good afterlife to look forward to.

it is raining a lot this year here. we got our 5 year flood just a few weeks ago

It worse then that, fucker ticks off all the boxes for the anti christ and they will follow Trump over the teaching of Jesus any day.

[–] logicbomb@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

My ultra religious fundamentalist aunt would support him more if he's the antichrist. She believes that she's already "saved" and so she wants the apocalypse to come sooner so that she can be raptured in her lifetime.

Apparently, she can do whatever awful things she wants to do because she's already saved and has a free ticket into heaven.

I think a lot of people underestimate how nutty these people really are.

[–] Fredselfish@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Doesn't she realize when you'er saved you have to not sin afterwards? But again on her logic I get to go to super heaven because I was saved 3 times in my life.

Once when I was toddler Once when I was 12 (pastor asked me if I been saved and I shurg because I didn't know what that was) so they baptized me.

And the last time when I was 15 and that I volunteered for and knew what I was doing. I was a Christian until I was 30.

But truth I never believed because I was always questioning everything. I go to different types of churches and try different things. Religion is hell of drug if you just take it. Why they hate intelligence, because if you start questioning you become an atheist pretty quickly.

They follow the instructions of corrupt preachers and politicians.

That's because God is big poopyhead who won't let them lean into their Hate, and there is no Hate like Christian Love.

Would this be a "leopards ate my face" moment for people who believe in the christian god? "I never thought God would punish my sins!"

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 1 week ago

Kinda, except you'd have to believe in some sort of deity or other decision making entity being the leopard for that to apply 🤷

[–] Rhynoplaz@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

To be fair, since he's a preacher, there's a high statistical probability that he diddles kids.

[–] elbiter@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago
