I feel like this is attempting to blame the problem on the victims, but I understand the sentiment. There is only so much of it a person can face without the occasional need to dissociate for a while.
I had a conversation about this today. A friend said they have been prioritizing their wellbeing over keeping up with current events. I've been keeping up with current events more than I've been taking care of myself.
We both agreed we should probably try to find a healthier balance. I need to take better care of myself, but I can't stop thinking about everything going on in the world and how helpless I feel in the wake of it all.
Won't blow over you have to smash it.
That's why I'm bingeing One Piece.
