Oh I was very confused by the headline. I thought for some reason a company placed a database in charge of personnel decisions and it just chose to fire hire. No, it’s MongoDB the company that fired her!

I am going to have an interesting week in the new year now. I checked my work messages this morning to see if any thing came up. My boss sent me this link with the message "are we using this?"
Wow.
Fuck MongoDB.
I’ve seen the following people laid off in my time
- a person awaiting a green card
- numerous people on maternity and paternity leave
- someone awaiting a heart transplant
This one by Mongo is a new low.
Disgraceful.
I would like to express my heartfelt condolences, my thoughts are with the Surman family at this time ✝️ 💟
